Today you will visit the famous Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. This is one of the most unique and endangered habitats in the world, located along the Continental Divide. Common bird sightings include Trogons, Resplendent Quetzals, Emerald Toucanettes and sometimes Bell Birds. There are also mammals including sloths, anteaters and two species of monkeys. The cloud forest itself is very interesting as the trees are covered with bromeliads, epiphytes and orchids. This enlightening half day nature hike includes transportation, park entrance, and guide.
