The El Santuario Canopy Zipline is hands down the best zipline in Manuel Antonio. With 3.6 kilometers of cables, hanging bridges, trails and a rappel, this truly is an awesome adventure!
The day starts off when you are picked up from your Manuel Antonio hotel. You will be brought to the El Santuario Reserve in the hills overlooking the park and coast. When you arrive, your guide will size and suit you up with a high quality helmet and harness. Then you will be on your way to adventure!
The lines are double anchored for safety. The course also offers a dynamic braking system so you do not have to worry about hand braking.
Between the 14 tree based platforms there are 11 ziplines with a total length of 3.6 kilometers. The course features the longest zipline in Central America at over 4,300 feet (according to El Santuario)! As you scramble through the course you will cross 6 hanging bridges and also pass through 3 nature walks. To top it all off there is a rappel and air stairs!
The El Santuario Canopy course is like something out of Robinson Crusoe. You will find yourself full of wonder and thrilled to your core! It is the highest rated zipline in Costa Rica and sure to provide memories for a lifetime.
After your high speed, high flying adventure you will have the opportunity to pass through the Butterfly Gardens. Then you will be provided a typical Costa Rican style lunch.
Transportation will be provided back to your hotel after the tour. The tour is expected to last around 4 hours including transfers, though this is subject to change. Your adventure includes transportation, guides, snack, water, and lunch.

We didn't expect as much walking and it was difficult for our 81 year old mom. But the guides were patient and extra helpful to my mom . They also had a great sense of humor. The food at lunch was not that great but we were hungry enough to eat it.

Lots of fun for the whole family. It did not disappoint. The views were amazing. This location was the most muggy and humid of all the places we visited (February 2022). It is very safe and "idiot proof" - you can't fall off. We would probably do a different zip line next time just to see something new, but I recommend this one, too.

Awesome adventure! We had never zip lined before so were a bit nervous but the 6 guides were so good. We felt very safe. It is a very intensive workout due to the hiking through the trails uphill. Strenuous, so if you are not in good shape, have trouble hiking, etc., you may not want to attempt

We were hoping to do the zip line in MONTEVERDE since we heard the best one is there with 100% extreme adventures, but this one was enjoyable too with many different zip lines (close to ten in total) and the staff was sooo funny.

The guides were good but just not as into it as our guides during the canyoning adventure. The zipline guides knew what they were doing but they weren't as personable and seemed like they did not love their jobs quite as much. They were not specific about when it was appropriate to try out different methods on the zipline- mentioned in int he beginning and then never again so we missed opportunity to travel upside down for example. They could have been more engaging, more welcoming, and better at communicating.
