The tour will begin when you are picked up from your hotel and driven to the Manuel Antonio canopy zipline headquarters just as the sun is setting. Upon arrival your guide will greet you and hand out high quality safety equipment including helmets and harnesses. You will receive a review of safety guidelines as well as information on how the equipment will be attached to the zip lines and braking instructions.
The rainforests in Costa Rica have an abundant amount of wildlife, most of which only comes out at night. While traditional daytime canopy tours and forest hikes are remarkable, you will have an increased chance of seeing a greater percentage of wildlife by going into the canopy at night. During this night tour you will soar across 10 sturdy steel cables strung between 20 platforms. The course has been thoughtfully set up to provide amazing views of the surrounding jungle during the day, but at night you'll feel the thrilling excitement of pure darkness, and on a clear night, experience a gorgeous display of stars or a bright moon. You may hear the awe-inspiring gentle “roar” of the night jungle.
Imagine standing on a secure platform that hangs over the rainforest canopy. Your guide hooks your harness to the steel cable and as you follow the cable with your eyes, it disappears into a dark abyss. With the comforting sounds of the pulsating jungle orchestra and encouragement from your guide, you take a leap off the platform and glide through the darkness.
After a few moments you begin to see the next platform getting closer and closer. Another guide is standing ready to receive you and salute you for your first night time zip.
