Rev up the action with an exciting ATV ride in the rugged rainforest terrain at Borinquen Mountain Resort. Off road riding at its best in the magical outdoor kingdom of Costa Rica, you’ll encounter scenic mountaintop vistas as well as drive straight through a river on your way to the hidden Mysterious Waterfall where you can take a refreshing dip in its natural pool.
Starting at Borinquen Mountain Resort, you’ll be greeted by experienced guides who will lead you out to a well-designed driving course for practice. You’ll receive safety helmets to wear and driving lessons in case this is your first ever ATV ride. Participants must be 16 years old with a valid drivers’ license to drive their own ATV, otherwise they can double up and ride with a parent or guide.
This tour will take you through the mountainous rainforest and out across an open prairie as you head towards the Mystery Waterfall. Off in the distance, you’ll see the Pacific Ocean along the Guanacaste coastline. Prepare to get wet as you cruise through the river!
Once you reach your destination, the 150 foot Mystery Waterfall cascading into a natural turquoise freshwater pool, you can park your ride and take a refreshing dip in the cool clear water. Make sure to wear your bathing suit, because you won’t want to miss cooling off under the waterfall or going for a swim. Alternatively, you can sit at the river’s edge and soak in the beauty inspired by the mystery.
You’ll be surrounded by lush greenery with a cacophony of tropical sounds reverberating through the forest. Monkeys, sloths, iguanas and various types of exotic colorful birds may be hidden within the tree canopy or out in the open for you to see at any moment on your tour. Throughout the drive, your ATV guide will stop and show you interesting landmarks or point out the visible wildlife.
This 2.5 to 3 hour rockin ATV ride to the waterfall includes a bilingual guide, ATV, and safety helmet. It is onsite at the Borinquen Mountain Resort and transportation is NOT INCLUDED in the tour.
Drivers need to be age 16 years or older with a valid driver’s license but others can participate by riding behind a driver or guide. Please wear enclosed shoes, clothes that can get dirty, bathing suit, insect repellent, sunscreen and bring your drivers’ license and camera.
