This Montezuma ATV tour is a fun outdoor motorized adventure through the jungle and along the beautiful beach of Montezuma, Costa Rica; a perfect way to check out this unique area located on the Nicoya Peninsula. You will be operating a 4 wheeled All Terrain Vehicle along tracks, over farmland and through tropical forest giving you a great vantage point for first hand interactions with nature.
Your adventure begins with transportation from your hotel to the ATV tour headquarters where you will meet your professional guide and the rest of the group who may be going too. Anyone 18 years and older can drive an ATV in Montezuma with a valid driver’s license.
Your bilingual guide will instruct you on how to operate the vehicle and will go over all safety procedures. After receiving a helmet to wear, you will head out to experience this off-the-beaten-path guided tour, full of the sights and sounds of this remote area.
Montezuma is a charming community on the Pacific coast surrounded by jungle covered hillsides and host to a number of rivers that form natural pools and waterfalls. Montezuma started as a remote fishing village and, over time, its bohemian feel and panoramic views have made it a popular destination for eco-tourists, foreign back packers and locals alike.
This tropical paradise is home to Capuchin monkeys, iguanas, exotic birds, butterflies, and so much more. Your naturalist guide will help to locate and identify the many species of plants and animals you might encounter on your ride.
The 2 hour tour includes: guide, safety equipment, bottled water and transportation from your hotel in Mal Pais, Santa Teresa, Tambor or Montezuma. One way transit can take between 10 and 45 minutes depending on where you are staying. The total time of this adventure, including tour and round trip transportation can take between 2 and 3 hours.
