Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens. The 4 star Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens is located in front of Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, and tropical gardens. While at Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens you will enjoy a Casita Deluxe Room. Deluxe Casitas feature air conditioning, cable TV, DVD, CD player, internet access, in-room safe with small-laptop capacity, backyard outside shower, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and a front balcony with Jacuzzi overlooking the volcano. |
Day 2![]() The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Tucano Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. |
Day 3![]() In the morning, professional bilingual guides will lead you through a series of 4 rappels down rainforest waterfalls and a jungle canyon. In the afternoon, professional bilingual guides will help navigate you through class II and III rapids on your Rio Balsa whitewater rafting adventure. Please inform us if you weigh over 200 pounds as restrictions may apply. No experience necessary for this fun filled day of adventure which includes, transportation, guides, equipment, lunch, snacks, drinks, and loads of fun. |
Day 4![]() Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at Buena Vista Luxury Villas. Buena Vista Luxury Villas is a charming Manuel Antonio villa hotel located along the hillside resort area. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, internet, tropical gardens, and access to private beach. While at Buena Vista Luxury Villas you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, living and dining areas, cable TV, VCR, under-the-counter refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, in-room safe, telephone, terrace with a hammock and ocean and jungle views. |
Day 5![]() The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 12 zips up to 450 meters as you soar through the air from platform to platform via wheel and harness for a bird’s eye view of the rainforest. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation, snack, and guide. |
Day 6![]() Canyoning and rappelling down rainforest waterfalls. This the coolest new sport and an incredible way to make your way through the jungle. After a brief safety course, your professional guides will hook you up so you can descend down rainforest waterfalls and then scramble through the natural river obstacles below. Words simply cannot describe this amazing experience. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary. This thrilling adventure includes transportation, guide, meal, and snack. |
Day 7![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
