Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the San Lorenzo Cloud Forest which is a birdwatchers paradise. During your visit to the San Lorenzo Cloud Forest, you will stay at Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel. Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel is an elegant mountain retreat located near San Ramon in the Los Angeles Private Biological Reserve. Hotel amenities include jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, spa, hiking trails, game room, mini gym, conference room, and internet. While at Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel you will enjoy a Superior Casita Room. Day 2 El Silencio Cloud Forest Guided Hike. The heart of the cloud forest with our own nature interpreters who will unveil a secret world of rich tropical life along this 3 kilometer user-friendly trail. Located right on the hotel property, the trail was created by our hotel´s professional nature guides and designed to showcase a variety of tropical flora and fauna as it winds its way throughout this rare and incredibly diverse biosphere. |
Day 3 Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens. The 4 star Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens is located in front of Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, and tropical gardens. While at Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens you will enjoy a Casita Deluxe Room. Deluxe Casitas feature air conditioning, cable TV, DVD, CD player, internet access, in-room safe with small-laptop capacity, backyard outside shower, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and a front balcony with Jacuzzi overlooking the volcano. |
Day 4 The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Tucano Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. |
Day 5 The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 15 zips as you soar from platform to platform at the base of Arenal Volcano and then top it off with a Tarzan Swing! This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guide. |
Day 6 Transportation will be provided to the Papagayo-Hermosa area which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches. During your visit to the Papagayo-Hermosa area, you will stay at Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa. The Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa is an eco-friendly all-inclusive tropical retreat located in a secluded, private bay on the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Papagayo. The resort is well known for excellent customer service. Resort amenities include swimming pool, restaurants, bars, spa, conference room, tennis courts, trails, volleyball courts, and internet. While at Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Tropical Garden Bungalow Room. Tropical Garden Bungalows feature air-conditioning, dark, teak-wood furniture, including comfortable chairs, activity table, flat-screen LCD TV, telephone, clock radio with MP3 connection, in-room safe, mini refrigerator, iron, hair dryer, and a private balcony with tropical views. Day 7 The warm waters surrounding Costa Rica are teaming with tropical fish! Day 8 Beach day on the Gulf of Papagayo. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 9 Transportation will be provided to Escazu. During your visit to Escazu, you will stay at Hotel Beacon Escazu. Hotel Beacon Escazu is a luxurious, yet comfortable boutique style hotel located in Escazu. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, swimming pool, spa, fitness center, concierge service, and internet. While at Hotel Beacon Escazu you will enjoy a Deluxe Room. Day 10 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
