Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to Alajuela. During your visit to Alajuela, you will stay at Holiday Inn Express. Holiday Inn Express is a comfortable hotel located in Alajuela across from the International airport. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, massage service, mini gym, business conference room, airport shuttle, and internet. While at Holiday Inn Express you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air-conditioning, wireless Internet, cable TV, workspace and Desk, alarm radio, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. |
Day 2 Transportation will be provided to Drake Bay which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Drake Bay, you will stay at Poor Mans Paradise Lodge. Poor Mans Paradise Lodge is a budget oriented beach front eco-lodge located near Drake Bay. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, and internet. |
Day 3 The Cano Island and Snorkeling adventure is a wonderful way to observe and enjoy a tropical island, marine life and artifacts in one amazing day! Cano Island is located 15 kilometers off the south Pacific coast and was utilized by Pre-Columbian indigenous people as a sacred burial area so many artifacts remain. The day starts off with a boat ride out to Cano Island. Upon arrival we will snorkel for an hour and then enjoy a pack lunch. After eating, you have your choice of exploring the island or beach time on the white sands. This full day tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and lunch. |
Day 4 Dolphin and Whale Watching Tour. This is a boat ride off of the coast of the Osa Peninsula in search of dolphins and whales. The waters off of this coast are rich in marine life and one of the top places in the world for observing marine mammals. With a little luck and and help from Mother Nature you should be in for the rip of a lifetime. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, guide, and snacks. |
Day 5 Corcovado National Park Tour via the San Pedrillo Station. The day starts off with a boat ride down the coast to the San Pedrillo Station. Then a bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on a voyage to Corcovado National Park. This park is home to about 6,000 species of insects, 500 tree species, 367 bird species, 140 mammal species, 117 amphibian and reptile species, 40 fresh water fish species and abundant flora and fauna. Your guide will point out and describe the various species. In the afternoon with a little luck you will have the opportunity to see dolphins, sea turtles and whales upon you return by boat. This 6 hour tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and lunch. |
Day 6Transportation will be provided to Alajuela. During your visit to Alajuela, you will stay at Holiday Inn Express. Day 7 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
