Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Liberia International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens. The 4 star Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens is located in front of Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, and tropical gardens. While at Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens you will enjoy a Casita Deluxe Room. Deluxe Casitas feature air conditioning, cable TV, DVD, CD player, internet access, in-room safe with small-laptop capacity, backyard outside shower, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and a front balcony with Jacuzzi overlooking the volcano. |
Day 2 Arenal Volcano Observation Hike and Tabacon Hot Springs with Dinner tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the Trail 68, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. Following the hike you will be brought to Tabacon Hot Springs to relax and bathe in hot spring pools at various temperatures which are surrounded by tropical gardens. This fun filled half day, evening excursion includes guide, transportation, entrance to the private reserve, hot springs admission and dinner. |
Day 3 Whitewater Rafting Rio Balsa is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch, and equipment. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to the Papagayo-Hermosa area which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches. During your visit to the Papagayo-Hermosa area, you will stay at Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa. The Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa is an eco-friendly all-inclusive tropical retreat located in a secluded, private bay on the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Papagayo. The resort is well known for excellent customer service. Resort amenities include swimming pool, restaurants, bars, spa, conference room, tennis courts, trails, volleyball courts, and internet. While at Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa you will enjoy a King Junior Suite with Private Pool. Day 5 The Catamaran Cruise is a great way to observe tropical islands, marine life and the beautiful Pacific coastline in style! After cruising along and taking in the scenery we will stop to snorkel or kayak. Species that are frequently spotted on this trip include whales, dolphins, sea turtles and various tropical fish species making this a highlight for many! This fun filled half day excursion includes transportation, drinks, and meal. |
Day 6 Beach day on the Gulf of Papagayo. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 7 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to Liberia International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
