Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to Arenal Volcano, you will stay at Lost Iguana Resort. The Lost Iguana Resort is a small piece of paradise with spectacular volcano view near Lake Arenal. Hotel amenities include heated swimming pool, internet access, restaurant, bar, tropical gardens, and spa. While at Lost Iguana Resort you will enjoy a Standard Deluxe Room. Standard Deluxe Rooms feature air conditioning, Satellite TV, ceiling fan, coffee maker, mini bar, refrigerator, in-room safe, and a private balcony with volcano view. |
Day 2 The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Tucano Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. |
Day 3 Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch, and equipment. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to Dominical which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded surf beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the surrounding mountains. During your visit to Dominical, you will stay at Hotel Cuna del Angel. Hotel Cuna del Angel is a 4 star boutique style hotel located in a jungle setting between the beaches of Dominical and Uvita. Some of the most beautiful deserted beaches in Costa Ric are located within minutes of this property. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, bar, spa, and internet. While at Hotel Cuna del Angel you will enjoy a Angel Deluxe Room. Day 5 Surfs up dude! So you have always wanted to surf right? Well today is your chance to hang 10 and walk on water. A board will be provided and your professional instructor will show you the ropes as you learn how to surf in the warm tropical waters of Dominical. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation, guide, and board. |
Day 6 Beach day at Playa Dominical. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 7 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
