Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to Arenal Volcano, you will stay at Arenal Lodge. Arenal Lodge is an eco-tourist paradise located on a 2000 acre private reserve with spectacular view to Arenal Volcano. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, internet access, restaurant, bar, tropical gardens, and nature trails. While at Arenal Lodge you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature coffee maker, cable TV, telephone, alarm clock, in-room safe and hair dryer. |
Day 1![]() The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Silencio Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. |
Day 2![]() The Cano Negro Riverboat Safari is an amazing experience and opportunity to see numerous species of wildlife. The refuge is home to one of the largest populations of caimans, which can be observed at nearly every turn! It’s not only reptiles though as the area is also home to both spider monkeys and congo monkeys which can be heard howling from miles away. Birdwatchers will delight as hundreds of species either live here or migrate through including toucans, roseate spoonbills and trogons. This fun filled safari includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, and lunch. |
Day 3![]() Free day to explore La Fortuna. This is a fun little tourist geared town with plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities. Go explore the rainforest, volcano, lake, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 4![]() Transportation will be provided to Puerto Viejo which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica. During your visit to Puerto Viejo, you will stay at Hotel Cariblue. Hotel Cariblue is a unique Caribbean bungalow style hotel located in Puerto Viejo. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, tropical gardens, and internet. While at Hotel Cariblue you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Bungalows feature palm-thatched roof and a porch with hammock or bamboo chairs. |
Day 5![]() Cahuita National Park and Snorkeling combo is an great way to enjoy both wildlife in the jungle and marine life in ocean. In the morning a bilingual guide will lead you through the rain forest where you will see many species of wildlife, flora and fauna, such as monkeys, sloths, iguanas, Morphos butterflies, birds, snakes and much. The afternoon continues with an awesome snorkeling adventure. Swim above rock and coral formations along the Cahuita coastline and observe the wondrous marine life below. This fun filled half day adventure which includes transportation, bilingual certified guide, equipment and lunch. |
Day 6![]() Native fishing tour. This is a tour with local fisherman on a small fishing boat, using their techniques. No fancy rods and reels, just good old fashioned Caribbean style fishing with bait for species such as Tarpon, Barracuda, Shark, Grouper, Blue and Green Jack, Red Snapper, Mackerel, and King Fish. This 5 hour tour includes transportation, guide, fishing gear, bottle of water. |
Day 7![]() Beach day at Puerto Viejo. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Caribbean coast. |
Day 8![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
