Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Day 2 The Hanging Bridges offer an amazing glimpse into the canopy of the rainforest! The hike includes terrestrial trails and bridges through the tree tops allowing you to view the forest from all perspectives. This fun filled half day tour includes guides, transportation, lunch, and entrance to the private reserve. |
Day 3 The Cano Negro Riverboat Safari is an amazing experience and opportunity to see numerous species of wildlife. The refuge is home to one of the largest populations of caimans, which can be observed at nearly every turn! It’s not only reptiles though as the area is also home to both spider monkeys and congo monkeys which can be heard howling from miles away. Birdwatchers will delight as hundreds of species either live here or migrate through including toucans, roseate spoonbills and trogons. This fun filled safari includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, and lunch. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to Tambor which is home to palm studded beaches which are excellent for swimming. During your visit to Tambor, you will stay at Barcelo Tambor Beach Resort. Barcelo Tambor Beach Resort is an all-inclusive resort on the southern Nicoya Peninsula. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, spa, casino, fitness center, beauty salon, tennis courts, resort activities, conference room, and internet. While at Barcelo Tambor Beach Resort you will enjoy a Double Guest Room. Double Guest Rooms feature air-conditioning, bathroom, shower, hair dryer, magnifying mirror, telephone, Satellite TV, mini bar, coffeemaker, in-room safe, and a terrace or balcony with sea or garden views. Day 5 The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 9 zips as you soar through the air from platform to platform via wheel and harness for a bird’s eye view of the rainforest. To top it all off you will be able to swim beneath the Montezuma Waterfall along the way! This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guide. |
Day 6 Beach day at Playa Tambor. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 7 Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura. Hotel Ramada Herradura is a comfortable, newly remodeled airport hotel and resort. The hotel is well known for great customer service and tropical setting. Hotel amenities include large free form swimming pools with islands, jacuzzis, theme restaurants, spa, beauty center, bar, casino, and tropical gardens. While at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura you will enjoy a Superior Room. Superior Rooms feature air conditioning, satellite TV, direct-dial telephone, internet access. |
Day 8 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
