Arenal and Montezuma Adventure
Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Day 2 Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch and equipment. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 3 Canyoning and rappelling down rainforest waterfalls is the coolest new sport and an incredible way to make your way through the jungle! After a brief safety course, your professional guides will hook you up so you can descend down rainforest waterfalls and then scramble through the natural river obstacles below. Words simply cannot describe this amazing experience! No previous knowledge or experience is necessary. This thrilling adventure includes transportation, back road 4x4 ride, guides, lunch and equipment. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to Montezuma which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica. During your visit to Montezuma, you will stay at Ylang Ylang Resort. Ylang Ylang Resort is a romantic beach front boutique resort located on Playa Montezuma. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, bar, spa, hammocks, tropical gardens, luggage transfer to and from village, and internet. While at Ylang Ylang Resort you will enjoy a Beach Front Room. Beach Front Rooms feature air-conditioning, private bathroom and hot-water shower, hair dryer, ceiling fans, screened windows and doors, in-room safe, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and a sitting area looking out to the ocean. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 5 The Tortuga Island Boat Ride and Snorkeling adventure is an amazing experience! The tour starts with a scenic cruise along the Gulf of Nicoya for a 50 minute voyage to Tortuga Island. Dolphins, manta rays or humpback whales are just a few examples of the marine life frequently viewed along the way to the island. Upon arriving to the tropical paradise of Tortuga Island you will anchor for your first snorkeling session. This area is surrounded by volcanic rocks, crystal waters and vibrant tropical coral reefs which is home some of the best snorkeling on Costa Rica’s Central Pacific coast. After snorkeling, you will continue to the white sand beach of Tortuga Island. Kayak rentals and additional snorkeling available. Day 6 Beach day at Playa Montezuma. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 7 Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura. Hotel Ramada Herradura is a comfortable, newly remodeled airport hotel and resort. The hotel is well known for great customer service and tropical setting. Hotel amenities include large free form swimming pools with islands, jacuzzis, theme restaurants, spa, beauty center, bar, casino, and tropical gardens.
