Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Day 2 The Cano Negro Riverboat Safari is an amazing experience and opportunity to see numerous species of wildlife. The refuge is home to one of the largest populations of caimans, which can be observed at nearly every turn! It’s not only reptiles though as the area is also home to both spider monkeys and congo monkeys which can be heard howling from miles away. Birdwatchers will delight as hundreds of species either live here or migrate through including toucans, roseate spoonbills and trogons. This fun filled safari includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, and lunch. |
Day 3 The Hanging Bridges offer an amazing glimpse into the canopy of the rainforest! The hike includes terrestrial trails and bridges through the tree tops allowing you to view the forest from all perspectives. This fun filled half day tour includes guides, transportation, and entrance to the private reserve. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to the Central Pacific which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife. During your visit to the Central Pacific, you will stay at Hotel Punta Leona Beach and Nature Resort. Hotel Punta Leona Beach and Nature Resort is located on one of Costa Ricas most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches and surrounded by the Punta Leona Wildlife Reserve. The resort is conveniently located on the Central Pacific coast approximately 12 kms north of Jaco. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, bar, spa, nature trails, mini golf, volleyball, and internet. While at Hotel Punta Leona Beach and Nature Resort you will enjoy a Selvamar Standard Room. Selvamar Standard Rooms feature air-conditioning, hair dryer, cable TV, mini refrigerator, telephone, and in-room safe. |
Day 5 The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 14 zips with a total distance of 3.5 kilometers as you soar through the air from platform to platform via wheel and harness for a bird’s eye view of the rainforest. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guide. |
Day 6 Beach day at Central Pacific. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 7 Another Central Pacific beach day. You can sit back, relax, and perfect that tropical tan, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 8 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
