Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Liberia International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to Mal Pais which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica which are excellent for surfing. During your visit to Mal Pais, you will stay at Beija Flor Resort. Beija Flor Resort is a boutique style hotel located within walking distance to the beaches of Mal Pais. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, bar, spa, yoga deck, tropical gardens, and internet. While at Beija Flor Resort you will enjoy a Deluxe Room. Deluxe Rooms feature air-conditioning, bathroom with open-sky shower, in-room safe, mosquito net, and a porch. |
Day 2 The Tortuga Island Boat Ride and Snorkeling adventure is an amazing experience! The tour starts with a scenic cruise along the Gulf of Nicoya for a 50 minute voyage to Tortuga Island. Dolphins, manta rays or humpback whales are just a few examples of the marine life frequently viewed along the way to the island. Upon arriving to the tropical paradise of Tortuga Island you will anchor for your first snorkeling session. This area is surrounded by volcanic rocks, crystal waters and vibrant tropical coral reefs which is home some of the best snorkeling on Costa Rica’s Central Pacific coast. After snorkeling, you will continue to the white sand beach of Tortuga Island. Kayak rentals and additional snorkeling available. This fun filled full day excursion includes transportation, guide, snorkeling equipment, drinks, and meal. |
Day 3 Beach day at Mal Pais. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 4 Cabo Blanco National Park guided tour. Cabo Blanco was the first national park created in Costa Rica. The park is home to 2 species of monkeys, sloths and many other endangered species. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out wildlife such as these and others. Park is closed on Mondays. This half day 3.5 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, and drinks. |
Day 5 Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Poco a Poco. Hotel Poco a Poco is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, heated swimming pool, spa, gym, and internet. While at Hotel Poco a Poco you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature comfortable orthopedic beds, hair dryer, telephone, coffee maker, cable TV with DVD, and in-room safe. |
Day 6 Sky Tram and Trek Canopy Zipline. This adventure starts off by taking a gondola style cable car some 1600 meters up through the cloud forest canopy to a hilltop near the Continental Divide. You then go through a safety course and you are on your way zipping down 9 cables with platforms in between towards the bottom of the hill. The longest cable is 770 meters and highest is 130 meters off the ground. |
Day 7 ATV Off road Adventure - Double .Costa Rica is well known for awesome trails and roads that could be compared to tracks, so why not go with the flow on a high speed four wheel adventure. This thrilling off road adventure will take you through the back roads and trails of the forest, farmlands and whatever else is in the way. This fun filled adventure includes transportation, guide, trail entrances. |
Day 7 Don Juan coffee plantation tour. A bilingual guide will lead you through the famous coffee farm, showing the process from plant to cup. This is an opportunity to immerse in a Costa Rican tradition. You will also be able to purchase coffee direct from the Don Juan plantation. This 3 hour tour includes transportation, snack, and coffee sample. |
Day 8 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to Liberia International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
