Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Liberia International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens. The 4 star Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens is located in front of Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, and tropical gardens. While at Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens you will enjoy a Casita Deluxe Room. Deluxe Casitas feature air conditioning, cable TV, DVD, CD player, internet access, in-room safe with small-laptop capacity, backyard outside shower, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and a front balcony with Jacuzzi overlooking the volcano. |
Day 2 The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Tucano Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. |
Day 3 Canyoning and rappelling down rainforest waterfalls is the coolest new sport and an incredible way to make your way through the jungle! After a brief safety course, your professional guides will hook you up so you can descend down rainforest waterfalls and then scramble through the natural river obstacles below. Words simply cannot describe this amazing experience! No previous knowledge or experience is necessary. This thrilling adventure includes transportation, back road 4x4 ride, guides, lunch and equipment. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to the Papagayo-Hermosa area which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches. During your visit to the Papagayo-Hermosa area, you will stay at Hotel Playa Hermosa Bosque del Mar. Hotel Playa Hermosa Bosque del Mar is an amazingly beautiful beach front boutique style hotel located at Playa Hermosa de Guanacaste. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, spa, conference room, and internet. While at Hotel Playa Hermosa Bosque del Mar you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, sitting area, coffee maker, mini-bar, ceiling fan, cable TV, and a terrace or porch. |
Day 5 The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 3 hanging bridges and 11 zips up to 400 meters as you soar through the air from platform to platform via wheel and harness for a bird’s eye view of the rainforest. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guide. |
Day 6 ONLY AVAILABLE TUE,SAT. Rincon de la Vieja National Park Hike. This is a guided hike through the national park and volcanic range. You will pass through areas with natural hot springs, steam vents, and fumaroles at the Las Pilas section. This 7 hour tour includes transportation, guide, lunch, and drinks. |
Day 7 Beach day at Playa Hermosa. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 8 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to Liberia International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
