Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Flamingo-Conchal area which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches. During your visit to the Flamingo-Conchal area, you will stay at Flamingo Beach Resort. Flamingo Beach Resort is a beach front hotel located on the pristine golden sands of Playa Flamingo. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, spa, casino, fitness center, family center, beauty salon, tennis courts, resort activities, conference room, and internet. While at Flamingo Beach Resort you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, flat-screen Satellite TV, high-speed internet, clock radio, telephone, ceiling fan, in-room safe, coffee maker, and a hair dryer. Some rooms feature private balcony with garden view. |
Day 2 Beach day at Playa Flamingo. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 3 The warm waters surrounding Costa Rica are teaming with tropical fish. Create memories for a lifetime as you and your guide swim above rock or coral formations along the Guanacaste coastline and observe the wondrous marine life below. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation, bilingual certified guide, and equipment. Upgrade to scuba diving for an additional 50 USD per person. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to Rincon de la Vieja which is one of Costa Rica?s active volcanoes and an adventure capital. During your visit to Rincon de la Vieja, you will stay at Hacienda Guachipelin. Hacienda Guachipelin is an amazing eco-lodge and adventure ranch with hot spring fed pools located in the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano and national park region. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, spa, restaurant, bar, and internet. While at Hacienda Guachipelin you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air-conditioning or fan, in-room safe. |
Day 5 Hacienda Guachipelin Day Pass. This is a full day adventure pass which allows you to choose from 2 of the following main activities - Canyon Canopy tour, Waterfall Canyoning, Rio Negro Tubing, thermal waters, hot springs, horseback riding, cowboy for a day, walking tours in the park, including a buffet lunch in the restaurant. After a full day of adventure you will be able to visit the Symbiosis Spa for volcanic mud painting and hot springs. Please inform us if you weigh over 200 pounds as restrictions may apply. Tours that include the national park do not include 10 dollar entrance fee. Participants must be 10 years or older for tubing and canyoning. Tours include guide and lunch. |
Day 6 Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano. |
Day 7 Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch, and equipment. |
Day 8 Canyoning and rappelling down rainforest waterfalls is the coolest new sport and an incredible way to make your way through the jungle! After a brief safety course, your professional guides will hook you up so you can descend down rainforest waterfalls and then scramble through the natural river obstacles below. Words simply cannot describe this amazing experience! No previous knowledge or experience is necessary. This thrilling adventure includes transportation, back road 4x4 ride, guides, lunch and equipment. |
Day 9 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
