Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Hotel Royal Corin. The 5 Star Hotel Royal Corin and Loto Spa is located in the shadow of Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include hot spring fed swimming pools, restaurant, bar, event room, internet access, and tropical gardens. While at Hotel Royal Corin you will enjoy a Standard Room - 3 x 2 Special. Day 2 Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch and equipment. |
Day 3 Canyoning and rappelling down rainforest waterfalls is the coolest new sport and an incredible way to make your way through the jungle! After a brief safety course, your professional guides will hook you up so you can descend down rainforest waterfalls and then scramble through the natural river obstacles below. Words simply cannot describe this amazing experience! No previous knowledge or experience is necessary. This thrilling adventure includes transportation, back road 4x4 ride, guides, lunch and equipment. |
Day 4 There is no better way to travel to your next destination than our famous Land-Boat-Land transportation to Monteverde! The adventure begins as you board a boat and cross the lake which provides some of the best photo ops of the imposing volcano. When you reach the other side, transportation will be provided through scenic mountain roads as you wind your way up to the cloud forest until you reach Monteverde. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at El Establo Mountain Hotel. El Establo Mountain Hotel is the largest eco-resort and spa in the Monteverde region and located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include 2 indoor heated swimming pools, restaurant, bar, gym, conference center, spa, tennis courts, basketball court, soccer field, and internet. While at El Establo Mountain Hotel you will enjoy a Deluxe Room. Deluxe Rooms feature orthopedic mattresses, telephone, coffee maker, refrigerator, cable TV, alarm-clock, in-room safe, and balcony or terrace with rocking chairs and a view of the Gulf of Nicoya. |
Day 5 The Canopy Combo is an awesome way to explore the cloud forest! The day starts off with a Canopy Zipline adventure, which is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 15 zips as you soar through the air from platform to platform via wheel and harness for a bird’s eye view of the rainforest. To top it all off, you can also do a Tarzan swing! This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guides. |
Day 6 Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at Buena Vista Luxury Villas. Buena Vista Luxury Villas is a charming Manuel Antonio villa hotel located along the hillside resort area. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, internet, tropical gardens, and access to private beach. While at Buena Vista Luxury Villas you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Day 7 The Coastal Kayaking and Snorkel Adventure is a great way to observe tropical islands, marine life and the beautiful Pacific coastline! After paddling along and taking in the scenery we will stop to snorkel above rock or coral formations and observe the wondrous marine life below. Species that are frequently spotted on this trip include whales, dolphins, sea turtles and various tropical fish species making this a highlight for many! This fun filled half day excursion includes transportation, bilingual guide, and meal. |
Day 8 Beach day at Manuel Antonio. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 9 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
