Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Liberia International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano. |
Day 2 Saddle up for a horseback ride like a true Costa Rican! Though slowly fading, nearly all Costa Ricans from rural areas first learned how to drive on horseback. This adventure will help keep the traditional spirit alive as you ride to La Fortuna Waterfalls. Once you reach the falls you will be able to either observe the falls from the observation platform or take the hike down top the basin. This fun filled half day expedition includes transportation, guide, and entrance to the waterfall. |
Day 3 The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Silencio Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. |
Day 4 There is no better way to travel to your next destination than our famous Land-Boat-Land transportation to Monteverde! The adventure begins as you board a boat and cross the lake which provides some of the best photo ops of the imposing volcano. When you reach the other side, transportation will be provided through scenic mountain roads as you wind your way up to the cloud forest until you reach Monteverde. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Poco a Poco. Hotel Poco a Poco is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, heated swimming pool, spa, gym, and internet. While at Hotel Poco a Poco you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature comfortable orthopedic beds, hair dryer, telephone, coffee maker, cable TV with DVD, and in-room safe. |
Day 5 The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica. This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 16 zips up to 600 meters and 80 meters high as you soar through the air from platform to platform via wheel and harness for a birds eye view of the rainforest. To top it all off, you can also do a rappel and Tarzan swing. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guides. |
Day 6 Transportation will be provided to Tamarindo which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches which are within walking distance to shops, restaurants and night life. During your visit to Tamarindo, you will stay at Barcelo Langosta Beach Resort. Barcelo Langosta Beach Resort is a newly remodeled 4 star all-inclusive resort located on Playa Langosta de Tamarindo. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, spa, casino, fitness center, beauty salon, tennis courts, resort activities, conference room, and internet. While at Barcelo Langosta Beach Resort you will enjoy a Superior Room. Day 7 Surfs up dude! So you have always wanted to surf right? Well today is your chance to hang 10 and walk on water. A board will be provided and your professional instructor will show you the ropes as you learn how to surf in the warm tropical waters of Tamarindo. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation, guide, and board. |
Day 8 The warm waters surrounding Costa Rica are teaming with tropical fish. Create memories for a lifetime as you and your guide swim above rock or coral formations along the Guanacaste coastline and observe the wondrous marine life below. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation, bilingual certified guide, and equipment. Upgrade to scuba diving for an additional 50 USD per person. |
Day 9 Beach day at Playa Tamarindo. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 10 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to Liberia International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
