Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Adventure Inn. The Adventure Inn is a comfortable airport hotel located in the Cariari area. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fitness room, free cab to and from airport, and internet. While at Adventure Inn you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, bathroom with tub, shower or Jacuzzi, telephone, internet access, cable TV, hair dryer, coffee maker, writing table and chairs. |
Day 2 Transportation will be provided to Drake Bay which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Drake Bay, you will stay at Pirate Cove Hotel. Pirate Cove Hotel is a comfortable eco-lodge located at Drake Bay. Hotel amenities include restaurant and bar. There is a 25 pound per person baggage-luggage weight restriction for flight or boat to hotel. While at Pirate Cove Hotel you will enjoy a Bungalow Room. Bungalows feature screened windows, orthopedic mattresses, polished wooden floors, private bathroom, ceiling fan, and a small terrace with a hammock and chairs. |
Day 3 Corcovado National Park Tour via the San Pedrillo Station. The day starts off with a boat ride down the coast to the San Pedrillo Station. Then a bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on a voyage to Corcovado National Park. This park is home to about 6,000 species of insects, 500 tree species, 367 bird species, 140 mammal species, 117 amphibian and reptile species, 40 fresh water fish species and abundant flora and fauna. Your guide will point out and describe the various species. In the afternoon with a little luck you will have the opportunity to see dolphins, sea turtles and whales upon you return by boat. This 6 hour tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and lunch. |

Day 5 Beach day at Drake Bay. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 6 Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at The Falls Resort. The Falls Resort is a boutique style Manuel Antonio hotel surrounded by tropical gardens located along the hillside resort area. The hotel is well known for excellent customer service and the wildlife that passes through. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, bar, internet, and tropical gardens. While at The Falls Resort you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV with DVD, mini bar, and ceiling fan, and a furnished patio with garden view. |
Day 7 Surfs up dude! So you have always wanted to surf right? Well today is your chance to hang 10 and walk on water. A board will be provided and your professional instructor will show you the ropes as you learn how to surf in the warm tropical waters of Manuel Antonio. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation, guide, and board. |
Day 8 Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Hotel La Pradera. Hotel La Pradera is an affordable hotel located in La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, internet access and tropical gardens. While at Hotel La Pradera you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV, and private terrace with Arenal Volcano view. |
Day 9 The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 15 zips as you soar from platform to platform at the base of Arenal Volcano and then top it off with a Tarzan Swing! This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guide. |
Day 9 The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Silencio Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. |
Day 10 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
