Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to Arenal Volcano, you will stay at Arenal Observatory Lodge. Arenal Observatory Lodge is an eco-lodge located near the base of Arenal Volcano. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, internet access, restaurant, bar, tropical gardens, and nature trails. While at Arenal Observatory Lodge you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Room feature coffeemaker, in-room safe and balcony with volcano view. Guided morning hike along the property trails included. |
Day 2![]() The Hanging Bridges offer an amazing glimpse into the canopy of the rainforest! The hike includes terrestrial trails and bridges through the tree tops allowing you to view the forest from all perspectives. This fun filled half day tour includes guides, transportation, and entrance to the private reserve. |
Day 2![]() The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Silencio Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. |
Day 3![]() The Cano Negro Riverboat Safari is an amazing experience and opportunity to see numerous species of wildlife. The refuge is home to one of the largest populations of caimans, which can be observed at nearly every turn! It’s not only reptiles though as the area is also home to both spider monkeys and congo monkeys which can be heard howling from miles away. Birdwatchers will delight as hundreds of species either live here or migrate through including toucans, roseate spoonbills and trogons. This fun filled safari includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, and lunch. |
Day 4![]() There is no better way to travel to your next destination than our famous Land-Boat-Land transportation to Monteverde! The adventure begins as you board a boat and cross the lake which provides some of the best photo ops of the imposing volcano. When you reach the other side, transportation will be provided through scenic mountain roads as you wind your way up to the cloud forest until you reach Monteverde. |
Day 4![]() Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Poco a Poco. Hotel Poco a Poco is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, heated swimming pool, spa, gym, and internet. While at Hotel Poco a Poco you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature comfortable orthopedic beds, hair dryer, telephone, coffee maker, cable TV with DVD, and in-room safe. |
Day 4![]() Night Tour Hidden Valley. This is an easy night time walk through the cloud forest which is located at an elevation of 1,350 meters. The cloud forest is an amazing place where one will view life on top of life and many endangered and endemic species. Most species are nocturnal, making it more likely to have the opportunity to observe wildlife. This 2 hour tour includes transportation, park entrance, and guide. |

Day 5![]() The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most unique climates in the world. Birdwatchers will delight in the marvels of the cloud forest, which is located along the Continental Divide! Common sightings include the Resplendent Quetzal, Emerald Toucanette and Bell Bird. It’s not all about the birds though as sloths, wild jungle cats and the occasional monkey roam these forests as well. Day 6![]() Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at The Falls Resort. The Falls Resort is a boutique style Manuel Antonio hotel surrounded by tropical gardens located along the hillside resort area. The hotel is well known for excellent customer service and the wildlife that passes through. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, bar, internet, and tropical gardens. Day 7![]() Manuel Antonio National Park is the smallest park in Costa Rica, but one of the largest in terms of biodiversity. The park is loaded with wildlife such as sloths, monkeys, toucans and parrots. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual naturalist guide will lead the way pointing out a plethora of wildlife, flora and fauna. The park is also home to one of the most beautiful tropical beaches in Costa Rica, which you will have access to for the day if you choose to go back after the tour. This fun filled safari includes transportation, bilingual guide, and fruits. |
Day 7![]() The warm waters surrounding Costa Rica are teaming with tropical fish! Create memories for a lifetime as you and your guide swim above rock or coral formations along the Manuel Antonio coastline and observe the wondrous marine life below. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation, bilingual certified guide, and equipment. |

Day 8![]() Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Gran Hotel. The Gran Hotel is conveniently located between national monuments, squares, museums and pedestrian streets in the Historic District of San Jose. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, conference room, art gallery, valet parking, and internet. While at Gran Hotel you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air-conditioning, classic wood furniture and desk, 1930 bathtub, Satellite TV, in-room safe, wireless internet, mini bar, ceiling fan, and a view of the courtyard. |
Day 9![]() Poas Volcano, Doka, La Paz Waterfall Gardens. On the way to Poas Volcano, we will visit Doka Coffee Estate for breakfast and tour to learn the techniques and process in the cultivation, harvesting and roasting of the Golden Bean. At the Volcano, we will observe the massive main crater with sulfur fumaroles and learn about the variety of ecosystems in the park. We will continue to La Paz Water Fall Garden for lunch and follow the trail leading to a spectacular waterfall in the middle of the rainforest. This 10 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, entrance fee to Poas Volcano National Park, entrance fee to La Paz Waterfall Gardens, entrance fee to Coffee Tour, breakfast, and lunch. |
Day 10![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
