Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Liberia International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano. |
Day 2 Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class III and IV rapids on the Rio Toro. This is a great river for experienced rafters or those in good physical condition. This fun filled full day adventure includes transportation, guides, safety kayaker, lunch and equipment. |
Day 3 The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 15 zips as you soar from platform to platform at the base of Arenal Volcano and then top it off with a Tarzan Swing! This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guide. |
Day 4 The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Silencio Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. |
Day 5 Transportation will be provided to the Flamingo-Conchal area which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches. During your visit to the Flamingo-Conchal area, you will stay at Westin Playa Conchal Resort and Spa. Westin Playa Conchal Resort and Spa, formally known as Paradisus Playa Conchal Resort, is a premier all-inclusive beach and golf resort located on Conchal Beach. Day 6 Beach day at Playa Conchal. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 7 Catamaran Cruise along the Guanacaste coast. This is a beautiful coast along the Pacific Ocean with many islands, jungle lined peninsulas, and loads of marine life. After cruising along, we will stop at a deserted beach to eat and snorkel. Those that do not want to snorkel can use kayaks. Species that are frequently spotted on this trip include whales, dolphins, and sea turtles. This half day, 4 hour tour includes transportation, drinks, and meal. |
Day 8 ONLY AVAILABLE TUE,SAT. Rincon de la Vieja National Park Hike. This is a guided hike through the national park and volcanic range. You will pass through areas with natural hot springs, steam vents, and fumaroles at the Las Pilas section. This 7 hour tour includes transportation, guide, lunch, and drinks. |
Day 9 Another Playa Conchal beach day. You can sit back, relax, and perfect that tropical tan, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 10 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to Liberia International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
