Day 1

Azania Bungalows

Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to Puerto Viejo which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica.

During your visit to Puerto Viejo, you will stay at Azania Bungalows. Azania Bungalows is a Caribbean bungalow style hotel located in front of Playa Cocles in Puerto Viejo. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, and internet.

While at Azania Bungalows you will enjoy a Bungalow Room. Bungalows feature naturally-ventilation along with traditional materials, exotic woods and thatched-palm roofs, bamboo furniture, ceiling fans, mini bar, in-room safe, sauna-style bathroom, large windows with mosquito nets, and a private deck with hammock.

Day 2

Cahuita National Park and Snorkeling Combo

Cahuita National Park and Snorkeling combo is an great way to enjoy both wildlife in the jungle and marine life in ocean. In the morning a bilingual guide will lead you through the rain forest where you will see many species of wildlife, flora and fauna, such as monkeys, sloths, iguanas, Morphos butterflies, birds, snakes and much. The afternoon continues with an awesome snorkeling adventure. Swim above rock and coral formations along the Cahuita coastline and observe the wondrous marine life below. This fun filled half day adventure which includes transportation, bilingual certified guide, equipment and lunch.

Day 3

Canyoning and Rappelling

Canyoning and rappelling down rainforest waterfalls is the coolest new sport and an incredible way to make your way through the jungle! The tour starts off as a hike through the rainforest near the Bri Bri indigenous village. We will then cross a river and hike another 30 minutes until we reach the first small waterfall with pools below it which we will jump in to. After gearing up and a safety lesson, we will rappel the first waterfall. We will then follow the stream until we reach a large 130 foot waterfall. This is where the real fun begins as we rappel down this fall from two separate vantage points and then scramble through the natural river obstacles below. Words simply cannot describe this amazing experience! No previous knowledge or experience is necessary. This thrilling adventure includes transportation, drinks, lunch, equipment, and guide.

Day 4

Arenal Springs Resort and Spa

Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital.

During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room.

While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano.

Day 5

Whitewater Rafting Rio Balsa

Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch, and equipment.

Day 6

Arenal Volcano Observation Hike and Tabacon Hot Springs

The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Tucano Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano.

Following the hike you will be brought to Tabacon Hot Springs to relax and bathe in hot spring pools at various temperatures which are surrounded by tropical gardens. This fun filled half day, evening excursion includes guide, transportation, entrance to the private reserve, hot springs admission and dinner.

Day 7

The Falls Resort

Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park.

During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at The Falls Resort. The Falls Resort is a boutique style Manuel Antonio hotel surrounded by tropical gardens located along the hillside resort area. The hotel is well known for excellent customer service and the wildlife that passes through. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, bar, internet, and tropical gardens.

While at The Falls Resort you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV with DVD, mini bar, and ceiling fan, and a furnished patio with garden view.

Day 8

Damas Island Riverboat Safari

The Damas Island Riverboat Ride is an amazing experience and opportunity to see numerous species of wildlife. The refuge is home to large populations of caimans and crocodiles, which can be observed at nearly every turn! It’s not only reptiles though as the area is also home to capuchin monkeys, anteaters, sloths and other mammals. Birdwatchers will delight as many species either live here or migrate through including parrots, toucans, roseate spoonbills, herons and other waterfowl. This fun filled safari includes transportation, bilingual guide, and meal.

Day 9

Free Day - Beach Day Manuel Antonio

Beach day at Manuel Antonio. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast.

Day 10

SJO

Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight.
