Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Liberia International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens. The 4 star Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens is located in front of Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, and tropical gardens. While at Arenal Nayara Hotel and Gardens you will enjoy a Casita Deluxe Room. Deluxe Casitas feature air conditioning, cable TV, DVD, CD player, internet access, in-room safe with small-laptop capacity, backyard outside shower, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and a front balcony with Jacuzzi overlooking the volcano. |
Day 2![]() The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Silencio Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. |
Day 3![]() Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch and equipment. |
Day 4![]() There is no better way to travel to your next destination than our famous Land-Boat-Land transportation to Monteverde! The adventure begins as you board a boat and cross the lake which provides some of the best photo ops of the imposing volcano. When you reach the other side, transportation will be provided through scenic mountain roads as you wind your way up to the cloud forest until you reach Monteverde. |
Day 4![]() Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at El Establo Mountain Hotel. El Establo Mountain Hotel is the largest eco-resort and spa in the Monteverde region and located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include 2 indoor heated swimming pools, restaurant, bar, gym, conference center, spa, tennis courts, basketball court, soccer field, and internet. While at El Establo Mountain Hotel you will enjoy a Deluxe Room. Deluxe Rooms feature orthopedic mattresses, telephone, coffee maker, refrigerator, cable TV, alarm-clock, in-room safe, and balcony or terrace with rocking chairs and a view of the Gulf of Nicoya. |
Day 5![]() The Canopy Combo is an awesome way to explore the cloud forest! The day starts off with a Canopy Zipline adventure, which is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 15 zips as you soar through the air from platform to platform via wheel and harness for a bird’s eye view of the rainforest. To top it all off, you can also do a Tarzan swing! This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guides. |
Day 6![]() The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most unique climates in the world. Birdwatchers will delight in the marvels of the cloud forest, which is located along the Continental Divide! Common sightings include the Resplendent Quetzal, Emerald Toucanette and Bell Bird. It’s not all about the birds though as sloths, wild jungle cats and the occasional monkey roam these forests as well. Speaking of the forest, this habitat is brimming with life on top of life as epiphytes and orchids cover the trees. This fun filled half day safari includes transportation, park entrance, and guide. |
Day 7![]() Transportation will be provided to the Papagayo-Hermosa area which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches. During your visit to the Papagayo-Hermosa area, you will stay at Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa. The Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa is an eco-friendly all-inclusive tropical retreat located in a secluded, private bay on the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Papagayo. The resort is well known for excellent customer service. Resort amenities include swimming pool, restaurants, bars, spa, conference room, tennis courts, trails, volleyball courts, and internet. While at Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Tropical Garden Bungalow Room. Day 9![]() Saddle up for a horseback ride like a true Costa Rican! Though slowly fading, nearly all Costa Ricans from rural areas first learned how to drive on horseback. This adventure will help keep the traditional spirit alive as you ride through tropical dry forest trails. This fun filled half day expedition includes transportation, horses, equipment, guide, beverages, entrance fee. |
Day 10![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to Liberia International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
