Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Hotel Royal Corin. The 5 Star Hotel Royal Corin and Loto Spa is located in the shadow of Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna. Day 2 The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Nature tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife. The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Silencio Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. This fun filled half day excursion includes guide, transportation, and entrance to the private reserve. |
Day 3 Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch, and equipment. |
Day 4 There is no better way to travel to your next destination than our famous Land-Boat-Land transportation to Monteverde! The adventure begins as you board a boat and cross the lake which provides some of the best photo ops of the imposing volcano. When you reach the other side, transportation will be provided through scenic mountain roads as you wind your way up to the cloud forest until you reach Monteverde. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hidden Canopy Treehouses Boutique Hotel. Hidden Canopy Treehouse Boutique Hotel is a luxury eco-friendly bed and breakfast located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Amenities include amazing cloud forest views, guest lounge, pass it along library, portable DVD players, movie collection, assorted board games and cards. While at Hidden Canopy Treehouses Boutique Hotel you will enjoy a Rising Sun Room. Day 5 The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica. This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 16 zips up to 600 meters and 80 meters high as you soar through the air from platform to platform via wheel and harness for a birds eye view of the rainforest. To top it all off, you can also do a rappel and Tarzan swing. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guides. |
Day 6 Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at Pacific Souss Hotel. The Pacific Souss Hotel is a luxury boutique style hotel located along the hillside resort area within moderate walking distance to the beautiful Biesanz Beach. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, bar, internet, and tropical gardens. While at Pacific Souss Hotel you will enjoy a Superior Room. Day 7 Beach day at Manuel Antonio. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 8 Another Manuel Antonio beach day. You can sit back, relax, and perfect that tropical tan, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 9 Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Grano de Oro. Hotel Grano de Oro is a luxury oriented boutique hotel which specializes in personalized service located in San Jose. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, jacuzzi, roof top terrace and gardens, massage service, and internet. While at Hotel Grano de Oro you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature in-room Jacuzzi, Internet access, mini bar, in-room safe, cable TV, ceiling fans, telephone. |
Day 10 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
