Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Gran Hotel. The Gran Hotel is conveniently located between national monuments, squares, museums and pedestrian streets in the Historic District of San Jose. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, conference room, art gallery, valet parking, and internet. While at Gran Hotel you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air-conditioning, classic wood furniture and desk, 1930 bathtub, Satellite TV, in-room safe, wireless internet, mini bar, ceiling fan, and a view of the courtyard. |
Day 2![]() Transportation will be provided to Drake Bay which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Drake Bay, you will stay at Aguila de Osa. Aguila de Osa is a comfortable higher end eco-lodge located on a bluff overlooking Drake Bay. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, nature trails, and internet. While at Aguila de Osa you will enjoy a Standard - Corcovado Jungle Experience - 4N-3N Room. Standard Rooms feature naturally-ventilation and mesh windows to ensure a tropical breeze to pass through your room. Each room offers Italian-tiled bathrooms, cathedral-style ceilings, ceiling fan, and views of the jungle. |
Day 3![]() Corcovado National Park Tour via the San Pedrillo Station. The day starts off with a boat ride down the coast to the San Pedrillo Station. Then a bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on a voyage to Corcovado National Park. This park is home to about 6,000 species of insects, 500 tree species, 367 bird species, 140 mammal species, 117 amphibian and reptile species, 40 fresh water fish species and abundant flora and fauna. Your guide will point out and describe the various species. In the afternoon with a little luck you will have the opportunity to see dolphins, sea turtles and whales upon you return by boat. This 6 hour tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and lunch. |
Day 4![]() Cano Island Tour and Snorkeling. Cano Island is located 15 kilometers off the south Pacific coast. It was utilized by Pre-Columbian indigenous people as a sacred burial area and many artifacts remain. The day starts off with a boat ride out to Cano Island. Upon arrival we will snorkel for an hour and then you will eat lunch. After eating, you have your choice of exploring the island or beach time on the white sands. This 5 hour tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and lunch. |
Day 5![]() Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include heated hot spring pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, conference room, and tropical gardens. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano. |
Day 6![]() Arenal Volcano observation hike at El Silencio Trail. In the afternoon, you will go on an easy level guided hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out different species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at one of the closest safe observation points to the volcano. |
Day 7![]() Whitewater rafting on the Rio Toro. Professional bilingual guides will help navigate you through class III and IV rapids on this thrilling adventure. The Rio Toro is a great river for experienced rafters or those in good physical condition. Please inform us if you weigh over 200 pounds as restrictions may apply. No experience necessary on this full day, 7 hour adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch and equipment. |
Day 8![]() Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at The Falls Resort. The Falls Resort is a boutique style Manuel Antonio hotel located along the hillside resort area. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, internet, and tropical gardens. While at The Falls Resort you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV with DVD, mini bar, and ceiling fan, and a furnished patio with garden view. |
Day 9![]() Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour. Though this is the smallest national park in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio is one of the largest in terms on biodiversity. The park is home to 3 species of monkeys, 2 types of sloths and many other endangered species. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out wildlife such as these and others. Park is closed on Mondays. This half day 3.5 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, and fruits. |
Day 10![]() Rappelling down rainforest waterfalls. This is the ultimate jungle experience. The tour starts off with a walk across a suspension bridge and then a short hike to the waterfalls. After a brief safety course you will rappel down two waterfalls of 45 and 55 meters in height. Please inform us if you weigh over 200 pounds as restrictions may apply. No experience necessary for this 5 hour tour which includes transportation, guide, meal, and snack. |
Day 11![]() Beach day at Manuel Antonio. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 12![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
