Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the San Lorenzo Cloud Forest which is a birdwatchers paradise. During your visit to the San Lorenzo Cloud Forest, you will stay at Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel. Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel is an elegant mountain retreat located near San Ramon in the Los Angeles Private Biological Reserve. Hotel amenities include jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, spa, hiking trails, game room , mini gym, conference room, and internet. Day 2 You will travel in comfort along a scenic route through the Canton of San Ramón, then south on the Pan-American Highway. During the journey, your guide will discuss the generalities of Costa Rica. Once at the summit of volcano, you will enter Poas Volcano National Park and learn about the areas evolution, history, vegetation and main eruptions of the volcano. You will then enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch before going on to the waterfalls and butterfly gardens at La Paz -butterfly garden, serpentarium, ranarium and aviary-. From there, you will continue on to Sarchi, home to some of most storied artisans of Costa Rica, where you will tour the famous oxcart factories and enjoy some souvenir shopping. |

Day 4 Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Hotel Royal Corin. The 5 Star Hotel Royal Corin and Loto Spa is located in the shadow of Arenal Volcano in La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include hot spring fed swimming pools, restaurant, bar, event room, internet access, and tropical gardens. While at Hotel Royal Corin you will enjoy a Standard Room - 3 x 2 Special. Day 5 Arenal Volcano observation hike at El Silencio Trail. In the afternoon, you will go on an easy level guided hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out different species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at one of the closest safe observation points to the volcano. |
Day 6 Canopy Zipline Adventure. The Canopy Zipline is a must do for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica. This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 15 zips and a Tarzan Swing at the base of Arenal Volcano. Please inform us if you weigh over 200 pounds as restrictions may apply. This half day tour includes transportation and guide. |
Day 8 Transportation will be provided to the Papagayo-Hermosa area which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches. During your visit to the Papagayo-Hermosa area, you will stay at Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa. The Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa is an all-inclusive tropical retreat located in a secluded, private bay on the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Papagayo. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurants, bars, spa, conference room, tennis courts, trails, volleyball courts, and internet. While at Hilton Papagayo Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Tropical Garden Bungalow Room. Day 9 Snorkeling tour off the northern Guanacaste coast. There are many islands off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica that are ideal for snorkeling and diving. On this tour you will accompany divers and snorkel off of tropical islands. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, guide, and snorkeling gear. |
Day 11 Horseback Riding. This is a guided horseback ride through dry forest trails and mountains hills. Participants can not weigh more than 200 pounds. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, horses, equipment, guide, beverages, entrance fee. |
Day 12 Transportation will be provided to Escazu. During your visit to Escazu, you will stay at Hotel Beacon Escazu. Hotel Beacon Escazu is a luxurious boutique style hotel located in Escazu. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, swimming pool, spa, fitness center, concierge service, and internet. While at Hotel Beacon Escazu you will enjoy a Deluxe Room. Day 13 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
