Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include heated hot spring pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, conference room, and tropical gardens. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano. |
Day 2![]() Arenal Volcano observation hike at El Silencio Trail. In the afternoon, you will go on an easy level guided hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out different species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at one of the closest safe observation points to the volcano. Following the hike you will be brought to Baldi Hot Springs to relax and bathe in your choice of 22 hot spring pools which are surrounded by tropical gardens and regulated at various temperatures. |
Day 3![]() Whitewater rafting on the Rio Balsa. Professional bilingual guides will help navigate you through class II and III rapids on this thrilling adventure. The Rio Balsa is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. Please inform us if you weigh over 200 pounds as restrictions may apply. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch and equipment. |
Day 4![]() Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Poco a Poco. Hotel Poco a Poco is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, heated swimming pool, spa, gym, and internet. While at Hotel Poco a Poco you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature comfortable orthopedic beds, hair dryer, telephone, coffee maker, cable TV with DVD, and in-room safe. |
Day 5![]() Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve tour. This is an easy walk through the famous cloud forest which is located at an elevation of 1,350 meters. The cloud forest is an amazing place where one will view life on top of life and many endangered and endemic species. After the hike you will be able to visit the Hummingbird Gallery. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, park entrance, and guide. |
Day 6![]() Canopy Zipline adventure on the Aventuras Canopy course. The Canopy Zipline is a must do for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica. This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 16 zips up to 600 meters and 80 meters high, 1 rappel, and a Tarzan swing. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, and guide. |
Day 7![]() Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at The Falls Resort. The Falls Resort is a boutique style Manuel Antonio hotel located along the hillside resort area. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, internet, and tropical gardens. While at The Falls Resort you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV with DVD, mini bar, and ceiling fan, and a furnished patio with garden view. |
Day 8![]() Trimaran Sailing and Snorkeling tour along the Manuel Antonio coast. This is a beautiful coast along the Pacific Ocean with 12 islands, jungle lined peninsulas, and loads of marine life. After cruising along, we will stop at a secluded beach to eat and snorkel. Species that are frequently spotted on this trip include whales, dolphins, and sea turtles. This 4 hour tour includes transportation and meal. |
Day 9![]() Offroad ATV adventure on a four wheeler - riding double. As the name implies, this is a thrilling offroad adventure on four wheeled ATVs. This adventure will take you through trails near the coast at high speeds. Drivers must be at least 16 years old, or ride double with guide or parent. This half day, 4 hour tour includes transportation, guide, trail entrances, and meal. |
Day 10![]() Beach day at Manuel Antonio. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 11![]() Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Grano de Oro. Hotel Grano de Oro is a luxury oriented boutique hotel which specializes in personalized service located in San Jose. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, jacuzzi, roof top terrace and gardens, massage service, and internet. While at Hotel Grano de Oro you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature in-room Jacuzzi, Internet access, mini bar, in-room safe, cable TV, ceiling fans, telephone. |
Day 12![]() San Jose City Tour. This tour familiarizes you with Costa Rican culture, visiting museums and historic sites of San Jose including the National Theater, University of Costa Rica, and the Supreme Court. We will make a brief stop at a souvenir shop giving you the opportunity to bring home a part of Costa Rica. This tour is approximately 5 hours and includes round-trip transportation, bilingual guide, entrance fees to the Gold Museum and the National Theater. |
Day 13![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
