Day 1

Arenal Springs Resort and Spa

Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital.

During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort.

While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano.

Day 2

Arenal Volcano Natural History and Baldi Hot Springs with Dinner

The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Hot Springs tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife before relaxing in thermal hot springs! The tour starts in the afternoon at the El Silencio Trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano.

Following the hike you will be brought to Baldi Hot Springs to relax and bathe in your choice of 22 hot spring pools at various temperatures which are surrounded by tropical gardens. This fun filled half day, evening excursion includes guide, transportation, dinner, entrance to the private reserve and hot springs.

Day 3

Cano Negro Riverboat Safari

The Cano Negro Riverboat Safari is an amazing experience and opportunity to see numerous species of wildlife. The refuge is home to one of the largest populations of caimans, which can be observed at nearly every turn! It’s not only reptiles though as the area is also home to both spider monkeys and congo monkeys which can be heard howling from miles away. Birdwatchers will delight as hundreds of species either live here or migrate through including toucans, roseate spoonbills and trogons. This fun filled safari includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, and lunch.

Day 4

Hotel Poco a Poco

Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide.

During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Poco a Poco.

While at Hotel Poco a Poco you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature comfortable orthopedic beds, hair dryer, telephone, coffee maker, cable TV with DVD, and in-room safe.

Day 5

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve

The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most unique climates in the world. Birdwatchers will delight in the marvels of the cloud forest, which is located along the Continental Divide! Common sightings include the Resplendent Quetzal, Emerald Toucanette and Bell Bird. It’s not all about the birds though as sloths, wild jungle cats and the occasional monkey roam these forests as well. Speaking of the forest, this habitat is brimming with life on top of life as epiphytes and orchids cover the trees. This fun filled half day safari includes transportation, park entrance, and guide.

Day 6

Free Day Monteverde

Free day to explore Monteverde. This is a fun little tourist geared town with plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities. Go explore the cloud forest, town, or contact us for choices of an added activity.

Day 7

The Falls Resort

Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park.

During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at The Falls Resort.

While at The Falls Resort you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV with DVD, mini bar, and ceiling fan, and a furnished patio with garden view.

Day 8

Catamaran Cruise

The Catamaran Cruise is a great way to observe tropical islands, marine life and the beautiful Pacific coastline in style! After cruising along and taking in the scenery we will stop to snorkel. Species that are frequently spotted on this trip include whales, dolphins, sea turtles and various tropical fish species making this a highlight for many! This fun filled half day excursion includes transportation, drinks and a meal.

Day 9

Free Day - Beach Day Manuel Antonio

Beach day at Manuel Antonio. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast.

Day 10

Free Day - Another Beach Day Manuel Antonio

Another Manuel Antonio beach day. You can sit back, relax, and perfect that tropical tan, or contact us for choices of an added activity.

Day 11

Pirate Cove Hotel

Transportation will be provided to Drake Bay which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park.

During your visit to Drake Bay, you will stay at Pirate Cove Hotel.

While at Pirate Cove Hotel you will enjoy a Bungalow Room. Bungalows feature screened windows, orthopedic mattresses, polished wooden floors, private bathroom, ceiling fan, and a small terrace with a hammock and chairs.

Day 12

Corcovado National Park Tour San Pedrillo Station - Pirate Cove Hotel

Corcovado National Park Tour via the San Pedrillo Station. The day starts off with a boat ride down the coast to the San Pedrillo Station. Then a bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on a voyage to Corcovado National Park. This park is home to about 6,000 species of insects, 500 tree species, 367 bird species, 140 mammal species, 117 amphibian and reptile species, 40 fresh water fish species and abundant flora and fauna. Your guide will point out and describe the various species. In the afternoon with a little luck you will have the opportunity to see dolphins, sea turtles and whales upon you return by boat. This 6 hour tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and lunch.

Day 13

Free Day -  Corcovado

A free day at Corcovado. You can sit back, relax, and perfect that tropical tan, or contact us for choices of an added activity.

Day 14

Holiday Inn Express

Transportation will be provided to Alajuela.

During your visit to Alajuela, you will stay at Holiday Inn Express.

While at Holiday Inn Express you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air-conditioning, wireless Internet, cable TV, workspace and Desk, alarm radio, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.

Day 15

SJO

Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight.
