Day 1

Gran Hotel

Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city.

During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Gran Hotel. The Gran Hotel is conveniently located between national monuments, squares, museums and pedestrian streets in the Historic District of San Jose. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, conference room, art gallery, valet parking, and internet.

While at Gran Hotel you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air-conditioning, classic wood furniture and desk, 1930 bathtub, Satellite TV, in-room safe, wireless internet, mini bar, ceiling fan, and a view of the courtyard.

Day 2

Turtle Beach Lodge

Transportation will be provided to Tortuguero which is home to numerous species of wildlife and a primary nesting area for Atlantic Green Sea Turtles from July through October.

During your visit to Tortuguero, you will stay at Turtle Beach Lodge. Turtle Beach Lodge is a comfortable eco-lodge located between the beach area and the Tortuguero Canals. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, bar, nature trails, and internet.

While at Turtle Beach Lodge you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms are naturally-ventilated featuring private bathroom with hot water, and garden view.

Day 3

Tortuguero Canal Tour

Tortuguero Canal Tour. This tour is a riverboat ride through the Tortuguero Canals, which are located within the national park. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual guide will point out animals, flora, and fauna that live within this unique eco-system. The Tortuguero Canals are home to many species of wildlife including, but not limited to three species of monkeys, two species of sloths, crocodiles, caimans, various species of amphibians and reptiles, and hundreds of bird species. This tour lasts 2 - 3 hours and includes a bilingual naturalist guide.

Day 4

Arenal Springs Resort and Spa

Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital.

During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include heated hot spring pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, conference room, and tropical gardens.

While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano.

Day 5

Cano Negro Riverboat Safari

Riverboat ride at the Rio Frio and to the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is located near the Nicaragua border and is one of the best places in Costa Rica to observe many species of wildlife in a natural setting. The riverboat is large and has a roof to block the sun or rain. Visitors must bring their passport for this trip. This full day, 8 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, and lunch.

Day 6

La Fortuna Waterfall by Car

From the trailhead you will hike approximately 15 minutes before reaching this majestic waterfall where you can swim or just enjoy it's beauty. Then enjoy a snack before get back to Hotel.

Day 6

Arenal Volcano Natural History and Baldi Hot Springs

Arenal Volcano observation hike at El Silencio Trail. In the afternoon, you will go on an easy level guided hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out different species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at one of the closest safe observation points to the volcano. Following the hike you will be brought to Baldi Hot Springs to relax and bathe in your choice of 22 hot spring pools which are surrounded by tropical gardens and regulated at various temperatures.

This 6 hour tour includes guide, transportation, entrance to the private reserve and hot springs.

Day 7

Hotel Poco a Poco

Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide.

During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Poco a Poco. Hotel Poco a Poco is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, heated swimming pool, spa, gym, and internet.

While at Hotel Poco a Poco you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature comfortable orthopedic beds, hair dryer, telephone, coffee maker, cable TV with DVD, and in-room safe.

Day 8

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve tour. This is an easy walk through the famous cloud forest which is located at an elevation of 1,350 meters. The cloud forest is an amazing place where one will view life on top of life and many endangered and endemic species. After the hike you will be able to visit the Hummingbird Gallery. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, park entrance, and guide.

Day 9

The Falls Resort

Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park.

During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at The Falls Resort. The Falls Resort is a boutique style Manuel Antonio hotel located along the hillside resort area. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, internet, and tropical gardens.

While at The Falls Resort you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV with DVD, mini bar, and ceiling fan, and a furnished patio with garden view.

Day 12

Catamaran Cruise

Catamaran Cruise along the Manuel Antonio coast. This is a beautiful coast along the Pacific Ocean with 12 islands, jungle lined peninsulas, and loads of marine life. After cruising along, we will stop at a secluded beach to eat and snorkel. Species that are frequently spotted on this trip include whales, dolphins, and sea turtles. This 4 hour tour includes transportation and meal.

Day 13

Damas Island Riverboat Safari

Damas Island riverboat safari. The Damas Island mangroves are loaded with wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, anteaters and many other species. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out wildlife such as these and others as you drift through on specially designed riverboat. This 5 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, and meal.

Day 15

SJO

Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight.
