Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include heated hot spring pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, conference room, and tropical gardens. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano. |
Day 2![]() Arenal Volcano observation hike at El Silencio Trail. In the afternoon, you will go on an easy level guided hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out different species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at one of the closest safe observation points to the volcano. |
Day 3![]() Canopy Zipline Adventure. The Canopy Zipline is a must do for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica. This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 15 zips and a Tarzan Swing at the base of Arenal Volcano. Please inform us if you weigh over 200 pounds as restrictions may apply. This half day tour includes transportation and guide. |
Day 4![]() Riverboat ride at the Rio Frio and to the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is located near the Nicaragua border and is one of the best places in Costa Rica to observe many species of wildlife in a natural setting. The riverboat is large and has a roof to block the sun or rain. Visitors must bring their passport for this trip. This full day, 8 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, and lunch. |
Day 5![]() Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Poco a Poco. Hotel Poco a Poco is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, heated swimming pool, spa, gym, and internet. While at Hotel Poco a Poco you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature comfortable orthopedic beds, hair dryer, telephone, coffee maker, cable TV with DVD, and in-room safe. |
Day 6![]() Butterfly Garden at the Aventuras Monteverde facilities. This garden is home to literally hundreds of tropical butterflies. This 2 hour tour includes transportation. |
Day 7![]() Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve tour. This is an easy walk through the famous cloud forest which is located at an elevation of 1,350 meters. The cloud forest is an amazing place where one will view life on top of life and many endangered and endemic species. After the hike you will be able to visit the Hummingbird Gallery. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, park entrance, and guide. |
Day 8![]() Don Juan coffee plantation tour. A bilingual guide will lead you through the famous coffee farm, showing the process from plant to cup. This is an opportunity to immerse in a Costa Rican tradition. You will also be able to purchase coffee direct from the Don Juan plantation. This 3 hour tour includes transportation, snack, and coffee sample. |
Day 9![]() Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at The Falls Resort. The Falls Resort is a boutique style Manuel Antonio hotel located along the hillside resort area. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, internet, and tropical gardens. While at The Falls Resort you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV with DVD, mini bar, and ceiling fan, and a furnished patio with garden view. |
Day 10![]() Snorkeling tour. There are many islands off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica that are ideal for snorkeling and diving. On this tour you will snorkel off of tropical islands. This 3 hour tour includes transportation, guide, and snorkeling gear. |
Day 11![]() Beach day at Manuel Antonio. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 12![]() A half day two tank scuba dive off of the Manuel Antonio coastline. There are 12 islands within 20 minutes to choose from off of the scenic Manuel Antonio coast. This area is home to abundant marine life such as schools of Snapper, Jacks, Barracuda, White Tip Reef Sharks, Rays and sea turtles. You will also see volcanic rock formations, with many varieties of hard and soft corals. Dives are 40-70 feet with visibility usually between 25-65 feet. Divers must be certified. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, guide, equipment, snack, juices, water. |
Day 13![]() Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour. Though this is the smallest national park in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio is one of the largest in terms on biodiversity. The park is home to 3 species of monkeys, 2 types of sloths and many other endangered species. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out wildlife such as these and others. Park is closed on Mondays. This half day 3.5 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, and fruits. |
Day 14![]() Another Manuel Antonio beach day. You can sit back, relax, and perfect that tropical tan, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 15![]() Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura. Ramada Herradura is an airport hotel and resort. It also provides one of the largest conference centers in Costa Rica. Hotel amenities include swimming pools, jacuzzis, restaurants, bar, casino, and tropical gardens and Airport Shuttle. While at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura you will enjoy a Superior Room. Superior Rooms feature air conditioning, satellite TV, direct-dial telephone, internet access. |
Day 16![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
