Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at Hotel Verde Mar. Hotel Verde Mar is a budget oriented Manuel Antonio hotel located right by the main beach area. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, and internet. While at Hotel Verde Mar you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air-conditioning, ceiling fans, in-room safe, kitchenette with hot plate stove, bar refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster. |
Day 2 Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour. Though this is the smallest national park in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio is one of the largest in terms on biodiversity. The park is home to 3 species of monkeys, 2 types of sloths and many other endangered species. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out wildlife such as these and others. Park is closed on Mondays. This half day 3.5 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, and fruits. |
Day 3 Beach day at Manuel Antonio. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 4 Trimaran Sailing and Snorkeling tour along the Manuel Antonio coast. This is a beautiful coast along the Pacific Ocean with 12 islands, jungle lined peninsulas, and loads of marine life. After cruising along, we will stop at a secluded beach to eat and snorkel. Species that are frequently spotted on this trip include whales, dolphins, and sea turtles. This 4 hour tour includes transportation and meal. |
Day 5 Another Manuel Antonio beach day. You can sit back, relax, and perfect that tropical tan, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 6 Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Hotel La Fortuna. Hotel La Fortuna is an affordable hotel conveniently located in downtown La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include internet access, restaurant and bar. While at Hotel La Fortuna you will enjoy a Volcano View Room. Standard Rooms with Volcano View feature air conditioning, cable TV, hair dryer, and of course a volcano view. |
Day 7 Arenal Volcano observation hike at El Silencio Trail. In the afternoon, you will go on an easy level guided hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out different species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at one of the closest safe observation points to the volcano. |
Day 8 Free day to explore La Fortuna. This is a fun little tourist geared town with plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities. Go explore the rainforest, volcano, lake, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 9 In the morning, professional bilingual guides will lead you through a series of 4 rappels down rainforest waterfalls and a jungle canyon. |
Day 10Free day to explore La Fortuna. This is a fun little tourist geared town with plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities. Go explore the rainforest, volcano, lake, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 11 Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Belmar. Hotel Belmar is an Austrian chalet style eco-lodge located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, nature trails, and internet. While at Hotel Belmar you will enjoy a Peninsula Room. Standard Rooms feature private bathroom, internet and WiFi, telephone, mini bar, hair dryer, in-room safe, overlooking the Gulf of Nicoya and the cloud forest of Monteverde. |
Day 12 Canopy and hanging bridges tour. Canopy and ziplines and hanging bridges at Selvatura. The Canopy Zipline is a must do for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica. This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 15 zips, 18 platforms, and a Tarzan swing. The hanging bridges tour is a moderate level guided hike over 8 bridges in a 3 kilometer span that will give you a birds eye view of the cloud forest canopy. This 5 hour tour includes guide, transportation, and entrance to the private reserve. |
Day 13 Free day to explore Monteverde. This is a fun little tourist geared town with plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities. Go explore the cloud forest, town, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 14 Transportation will be provided to Tamarindo which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches which are within walking distance to shops, restaurants and night life. During your visit to Tamarindo, you will stay at Hotel Zullymar. Hotel Zullymar is a budget oriented hotel located near the beach at Playa Tamarindo. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, and internet. While at Hotel Zullymar you will enjoy a Type A 1 Standard Room. Type A 1 Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, ceiling fans, refrigerator, cable TV, in-room safe, and a private terrace or balcony with a pool view. |
Day 15 BASED ON AVAILABILITY. Learn to surf lesson. This is a 3 hour surf lesson on Playa Tamarindo. Though impossible to guaranty, most are able to stand up and ride in small wave by the end of this fun lesson. This tour includes transportation, guide, and board. |
Day 16 Beach day at Playa Tamarindo. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 17 ONLY AVAILABLE THU,SAT. Hacienda Guachipelin One Day Adventure Pass. This is a full day adventure pass which allows you to choose from 2 of the following main activities - Canyon Canopy tour, Waterfall Canyoning, Rio Negro Tubing, thermal waters, hot springs, horseback riding, cowboy for a day, walking tours in the park, including a buffet lunch in the restaurant. After a full day of adventure you will be able to visit the Symbiosis Spa for volcanic mud painting and hot springs. Tours that include the national park do not include 10 dollar entrance fee. Participants must be 10 years or older for canyoning and tubing. Please inform us if you weigh over 200 pounds as restrictions may apply. This all day 8 hour tour includes transportation, guide, and lunch. |
Day 18 ONLY AVAILABLE Nov - Jan and based on availability. Night time Turtle Nesting Tour at Playa Grande. This is an opportunity to see the largest reptile in the world, the Leatherback Turtle as it lays eggs. These huge, but peaceful creatures nearly grow to the size of a Volkswagen Bug. This tour starts in the evening and we will join a park ranger. With a little luck we will have the opportunity to observe as the mother digs her nest and lays eggs. Tour includes transportation, guide, snack - but does not include 10 dollar park entrance. Participants must bring passport. |

Day 20 Transportation will be provided to Montezuma which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica. During your visit to Montezuma, you will stay at El Sano Banano Village Hotel. El Sano Banano Village Hotel is a budget oriented hotel in the Montezuma town center. Rooms are quiet and secure for those who prefer in town comfort. Amenities include restaurant, WiFi, AC, and cable TV. While at El Sano Banano Village Hotel you will enjoy a Village Cafe Room. Room features air conditioning, sound proof, private bathroom & hot water shower, cable TV, U.S. style electric outlets, free WI-Fi and bath towels. Breakfast Included. |
Day 21 ATV Off Road Adventure on a four wheeler. As the name implies, this is a thrilling off road adventure on four wheeled ATVs. This adventure will take you through trails of farms and beaches until you arrive at the Cobano Waterfall were you will have some time to have a refreshing swim. This 3 hour tour includes transportation, guide, trail entrances, and snack. |
Day 22 Beach day at Playa Montezuma. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 23 Another Playa Montezuma beach day. You can sit back, relax, and perfect that tropical tan, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 24 Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Don Carlos. Hotel Don Carlos is a hotel located in the Historic District of San Jose and was home to two former Costa Rican Presidential families. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, mini pool, massage service, and internet. While at Hotel Don Carlos you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature cable TV, telephone, wireless internet access, private bathroom with hot water, in-room safe, hair dryer, executive desk. |
Day 25 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
