Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura. Ramada Herradura is an airport hotel and resort. It also provides one of the largest conference centers in Costa Rica. Hotel amenities include swimming pools, jacuzzis, restaurants, bar, casino, and tropical gardens and Airport Shuttle. Day 2![]() Transportation will be provided to Samara which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica. During your visit to Samara, you will stay at Hotel Villas Playa Samara. Hotel Villas Playa Samara is a beach front property with villas located a little south of the Samara town center. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, spa, and internet. While at Hotel Villas Playa Samara you will enjoy a Garden View One Bedroom Villa. Day 3![]() Sea Turtle Observation tour. This is a tour to Playa Ostional, which is a protected beach area where turtles come to nest and lay eggs nearly every night. Olive Ridley turtles are the most common, though the beach is also utilized by Loggerheads and even Leatherbacks, which are the largest reptile in the world. This is a 4 hour night time tour and includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and drinks. |
Day 4![]() Coastal kayaking tour. This is a guided tour on open top kayaks that takes us along the scenic Carrillo or Samara coastline. This 4 hour tour includes transportation and guide. |

Day 6![]() Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Poco a Poco. Hotel Poco a Poco is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, heated swimming pool, spa, gym, and internet. Day 7![]() Hanging Bridges Guided Hike. This is a moderate level guided hike over 8 bridges in a 3 kilometer span that will give you a birds eye view of the cloud forest canopy. This 3 hour tour includes guide, transportation, and entrance to the private reserve. |
Day 8![]() Canopy Zipline adventure on the Aventuras Canopy course. The Canopy Zipline is a must do for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica. This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 16 zips up to 600 meters and 80 meters high, 1 rappel, and a Tarzan swing. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, and guide. |
Day 9![]() Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Day 10![]() Canoe on the Rio Frio and to the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is located near the Nicaragua border and is one of the best places in Costa Rica to observe many species of wildlife in a natural setting. No experience necessary, the guides will be with you the whole way. Visitors must bring their passport for this trip. This full day, 8 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, and lunch. |
Day 11![]() Arenal Volcano observation hike at El Silencio Trail. In the afternoon, you will go on an easy level guided hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out different species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at one of the closest safe observation points to the volcano. Following the hike you will be brought to Baldi Hot Springs to relax and bathe in your choice of 22 hot spring pools which are surrounded by tropical gardens and regulated at various temperatures. |
Day 12![]() Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at The Falls Resort. The Falls Resort is a boutique style Manuel Antonio hotel located along the hillside resort area. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, internet, and tropical gardens. While at The Falls Resort you will enjoy a Standard Room. Day 13![]() Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour. Though this is the smallest national park in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio is one of the largest in terms on biodiversity. The park is home to 3 species of monkeys, 2 types of sloths and many other endangered species. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out wildlife such as these and others. Park is closed on Mondays. This half day 3.5 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, and fruits. |

Day 15![]() Transportation will be provided to Drake Bay which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Drake Bay, you will stay at Aguila de Osa. Aguila de Osa is a comfortable higher end eco-lodge located on a bluff overlooking Drake Bay. Day 16![]() Corcovado National Park Tour via the San Pedrillo Station. The day starts off with a boat ride down the coast to the San Pedrillo Station. Then a bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on a voyage to Corcovado National Park. This park is home to about 6,000 species of insects, 500 tree species, 367 bird species, 140 mammal species, 117 amphibian and reptile species, 40 fresh water fish species and abundant flora and fauna. Your guide will point out and describe the various species. In the afternoon with a little luck you will have the opportunity to see dolphins, sea turtles and whales upon you return by boat. This 6 hour tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and lunch. |
Day 17![]() Cano Island Tour and Snorkeling. Cano Island is located 15 kilometers off the south Pacific coast. It was utilized by Pre-Columbian indigenous people as a sacred burial area and many artifacts remain. The day starts off with a boat ride out to Cano Island. Upon arrival we will snorkel for an hour and then you will eat lunch. After eating, you have your choice of exploring the island or beach time on the white sands. This 5 hour tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and lunch. |
Day 18![]() Transportation will be provided to the Turrialba Volcano area which is one of Costa Rica?s active volcanoes and an adventure capital. During your visit to Turrialba, you will stay at Hotel Villa Florencia. Hotel Villa Florencia is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near Turrialba Volcano. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, conference room, and internet. While at Hotel Villa Florencia you will enjoy a Standard Room. Day 19![]() Free day to explore Turrialba. This is a fun little tourist geared town with shops, restaurants, and activities. Go explore the rainforest, volcano, lake, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 20![]() Transportation will be provided to Tortuguero which is home to numerous species of wildlife and a primary nesting area for Atlantic Green Sea Turtles from July through October. During your visit to Tortuguero, you will stay at Laguna Lodge. Laguna Lodge is a comfortable eco-resort located on the Tortuguero Canals. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, restaurant, bar, conference room, nature trails, and internet. While at Laguna Lodge you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms are naturally-ventilated featuring comfortable beds, a private bath, ceiling fan, reading lamps, in-room safe, and a walkway in front. |
Day 20![]() Tortuguero Town Tour. Tortuguero is a typical Caribbean coastal fishing village. Your guide will walk you through the town and explain how the villagers live and about their unique culture. This 1 hour tour includes bilingual guide. |
Day 21![]() Tortuguero Canal Tour. This tour is a riverboat ride through the Tortuguero Canals, which are located within the national park. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual guide will point out animals, flora, and fauna that live within this unique eco-system. The Tortuguero Canals are home to many species of wildlife including, but not limited to three species of monkeys, two species of sloths, crocodiles, caimans, various species of amphibians and reptiles, and hundreds of bird species. This tour lasts 2 - 3 hours and includes a bilingual naturalist guide. |
Day 22![]() Transportation will be provided to Puerto Viejo which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica. During your visit to Puerto Viejo, you will stay at Hotel Cariblue. Hotel Cariblue is a Caribbean bungalow style hotel located in Puerto Viejo. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, tropical gardens, and internet. While at Hotel Cariblue you will enjoy a Standard Room. Day 23![]() Cahuita National Park and Snorkeling combo tour. In the morning a bilingual guide will lead you through the diversity of the rain forest where you will see many different species of wildlife, flora and fauna, such as monkeys, sloths, iguanas, spiders, Morphos butterflies, birds, snakes and much more. |
