Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Adventure Inn. The Adventure Inn is a comfortable airport hotel located in the Cariari area. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fitness room, free cab to and from airport, and internet. While at Adventure Inn you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, bathroom with tub, shower or Jacuzzi, telephone, internet access, cable TV, hair dryer, coffee maker, writing table and chairs. |
Day 2![]() Doka, Grecia, Sarchi, Oxcart factories and stores with lunch. We begin our journey driving through the countryside blanketed with Doka sugar cane and coffee plantations. We will visit Grecia to view the rare and beautiful architecture of the famous metal church. Afterwards, we will tour Sarchi, the home of the brightly- painted treasured oxcarts with painstakingly detailed designs that are known worldwide. You can even take one home. This 7 hour tour includes round-trip transportation, bilingual guide and lunch. |
Day 3![]() Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at Hotel Verde Mar. Hotel Verde Mar is a budget oriented Manuel Antonio hotel located right by the main beach area. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, and internet. While at Hotel Verde Mar you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature air-conditioning, ceiling fans, in-room safe, kitchenette with hot plate stove, bar refrigerator, coffee maker, and toaster. |
Day 4![]() A half day two tank scuba dive off of the Manuel Antonio coastline. There are 12 islands within 20 minutes to choose from off of the scenic Manuel Antonio coast. This area is home to abundant marine life such as schools of Snapper, Jacks, Barracuda, White Tip Reef Sharks, Rays and sea turtles. You will also see volcanic rock formations, with many varieties of hard and soft corals. Dives are 40-70 feet with visibility usually between 25-65 feet. Divers must be certified. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, guide, equipment, snack, juices, water. |

Day 7![]() Manuel Antonio National Park guided tour. Though this is the smallest national park in Costa Rica, Manuel Antonio is one of the largest in terms on biodiversity. The park is home to 3 species of monkeys, 2 types of sloths and many other endangered species. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out wildlife such as these and others. Park is closed on Mondays. This half day 3.5 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, and fruits. |

Day 9![]() Transportation will be provided to the Jaco-Hermosa area which is a mini surf city with palm studded beaches, shops, restaurants and plenty of night life. During your visit to Jaco, you will stay at Blue Palms Hotel. The Blue Palms Hotel is a budget oriented hotel located at Playa Jaco. Amenities include AC, pool, Wifi, dining area, laundry, and ample parking. While at Blue Palms Hotel you will enjoy a Double Room. Double Rooms feature air-conditioning, orthopedic mattresses, cable TV, telephone, wireless connection, mini refrigerator, and in-room safe. |
Day 10![]() Horseback ride to Tocori Waterfalls. This is a guided ride through the jungle with a bilingual guide. After approximately an hour, you will leave your horse on the trail and walk with the guide to the waterfalls where you will be able to swim in the natural pool. Following your swim, you will ride on to the rancho area to eat a typical Costa Rican casada for lunch. Participants can not weigh more than 200 pounds. This half day 4 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, and lunch. |

Day 12![]() Coastal kayaking and snorkeling tour. This is a guided tour on open top kayaks that begins at the Quepos dock and winds along the scenic Manuel Antonio coastline. After an hour or so, you will reach the secluded Biezans Beach where you can snorkel above live coral reefs. If you choose to continue on, you will kayak along the coast to the islands located in front of Manuel Antonio to observe migratory birds and beautiful scenery. When its all over we will enjoy a lunch at a local eatery. This half day 5 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual guide, and meal. |

Day 14![]() Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Hotel La Fortuna. Hotel La Fortuna is an affordable hotel conveniently located in downtown La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include internet access, restaurant and bar. While at Hotel La Fortuna you will enjoy a Volcano View Room. Standard Rooms with Volcano View feature air conditioning, cable TV, hair dryer, and of course a volcano view. |
Day 15![]() Arenal Volcano observation hike at El Silencio Trail. In the afternoon, you will go on an easy level guided hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out different species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at one of the closest safe observation points to the volcano. |
Day 16![]() Arenal Hanging Bridges guided nature walk. This is a moderate level guided hike with some inclines that will give you a birds eye view of the rainforest canopy. This half day, 4 hour tour includes guide, transportation, and entrance to the private reserve. |
Day 17![]() Free day to explore La Fortuna. This is a fun little tourist geared town with plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities. Go explore the rainforest, volcano, lake, or contact us for choices of an added activity. |
Day 18![]() Riverboat ride at the Rio Frio and to the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is located near the Nicaragua border and is one of the best places in Costa Rica to observe many species of wildlife in a natural setting. The riverboat is large and has a roof to block the sun or rain. Visitors must bring their passport for this trip. This full day, 8 hour tour includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, and lunch. |

Day 20![]() Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Belmar. Hotel Belmar is an Austrian chalet style eco-lodge located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, nature trails, and internet. While at Hotel Belmar you will enjoy a Peninsula Room. Standard Rooms feature private bathroom, internet and WiFi, telephone, mini bar, hair dryer, in-room safe, overlooking the Gulf of Nicoya and the cloud forest of Monteverde. |
Day 21![]() Canopy Zipline adventure on the Aventuras Canopy course. The Canopy Zipline is a must do for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica. This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 16 zips up to 600 meters and 80 meters high, 1 rappel, and a Tarzan swing. This 4 hour tour includes transportation, and guide. |
Day 22![]() Butterfly Garden at the Aventuras Monteverde facilities. This garden is home to literally hundreds of tropical butterflies. This 2 hour tour includes transportation. |
Day 23![]() Transportation will be provided to Tamarindo which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches which are within walking distance to shops, restaurants and night life. During your visit to Tamarindo, you will stay at Hotel Zullymar. Hotel Zullymar is a budget oriented hotel located near the beach at Playa Tamarindo. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, and internet. While at Hotel Zullymar you will enjoy a Type A 1 Standard Room. Type A 1 Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, ceiling fans, refrigerator, cable TV, in-room safe, and a private terrace or balcony with a pool view. |

Day 25![]() ONLY AVAILABLE THU,SAT. Early morning Birdwatching Tour. Over 850 species of birds have been identified in Costa Rica. While we will not see them all, we will have a great opportunity to view many on this tour. This tour includes transportation, guide, drinks, and snack. |

Day 27![]() Canopy Zipline adventure on the Congo Trails course and Monkey Park. The Canopy Zipline is a must do for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica. This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 11 zips up to 400 meters and 3 hanging bridges. Afterwards, enjoy entrance to Monkey Park including birds and butterfly garden, monkey cage and serpentarium. |

Day 29![]() ONLY AVAILABLE SUN,MON,WED,FRI. Palo Verde National Park and Guaitil Pottery tour. This tour starts off on a covered riverboat which will take you through the river in the national park. Palo Verde is a birdwatcher's paradise as it is home to the highest concentration of migratory birds in Central America. You will also have a great chance at viewing crocodiles, monkeys, and other wildlife. After the riverboat ride, we will eat lunch and then visit the village of Guaitil to learn about the Chorotega Indians and pottery that they make using Pre-Columbian techniques which have been handed down for many generations. This 7 hour tour includes transportation, guide, lunch, and drinks. |
Day 30![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
