Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Turrialba Volcano area which is one of Costa Rica?s active volcanoes and an adventure capital. During your visit to Turrialba, you will stay at Hotel Villa Florencia. Hotel Villa Florencia is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near Turrialba Volcano. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, conference room, and internet. While at Hotel Villa Florencia you will enjoy a Standard Room. Day 2 Turrialba Volcano hiking adventure. This is a guided hike that will take us from the upper rings of the rain forest to cloud forest over 10,000 feet in elevation. Turrialba is one of 5 active volcanoes in Costa Rica and we will be able to observe the crater at the peak of the hike. This tour is available for people in good physical condition and includes transportation, lunch and tour guide. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 3 Archaeological Hike at the Guayabo National Monument. Ancient stone carvings, skillfully engineered Pre-Columbian aqueducts with flowing water, and roads going into the rainforest hints to Costa Rica s mysterious past civilizations. Guayabo National Monument is the most important archaeological site in the country. Shadowed by Turrialba Volcano, this mysterious ancient city of over 10,000 people disappeared prior to the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century. A guide will explain the history of the early inhabitants and these ancient excavations that hold a world of mysteries and unanswered questions. Day 4 Transportation will be provided to Cahuita which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Cahuita, you will stay at Ciudad Perdida Eco Lodge. Ciudad Perdida Eco Lodge is a Caribbean bungalow style eco-lodge located at Cahuita. Amenities include AC, internet, cable TV, refrigerator, safety deposit box, and kitchenette. While at Ciudad Perdida Eco Lodge you will enjoy a Standard Room. Day 5 Beach day at Playa Cahuita. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Caribbean coast. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 6 Cahuita National Park and Snorkeling combo is a great way to enjoy both wildlife in the jungle and marine life in ocean. In the morning a bilingual guide will lead you through the rain forest where you will see many species of wildlife, flora and fauna, such as monkeys, sloths, iguanas, Morphos butterflies, birds, snakes and much. The afternoon continues with an awesome snorkeling adventure. Swim above rock and coral formations along the Cahuita coastline and observe the wondrous marine life below. Day 7 Another Playa Cahuita beach day. You can sit back, relax, and perfect that tropical tan, or contact us for choices of an added activity. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 8 Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura. Hotel Ramada Herradura is a comfortable, newly remodeled airport hotel and resort. The hotel is well known for great customer service and tropical setting. Hotel amenities include large free form swimming pools with islands, jacuzzis, theme restaurants, spa, beauty center, bar, casino, and tropical gardens.
