Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Day 2![]() Extreme hike up, over, and down the extinct volcano Cerro Chato. This volcano is located next to the active Arenal Volcano and has a mysterious green lagoon in the crater. This half day, 5 hour adventure includes transportation, guide, and lunch. |
Day 3![]() Canyoning and rappelling down rainforest waterfalls is the coolest new sport and an incredible way to make your way through the jungle! After a brief safety course, your professional guides will hook you up so you can descend down rainforest waterfalls and then scramble through the natural river obstacles below. Words simply cannot describe this amazing experience! No previous knowledge or experience is necessary. This thrilling adventure includes transportation, back road 4x4 ride, guides, lunch and equipment. |
Day 4![]() Transportation will be provided to the Savegre River basin. During your visit to the Savegre River basin, you will stay at Rafiki Safari Lodge. Rafiki Safari Lodge is an amazing jungle tent camp located on 842 acres of pristine rainforest along the Savegre River, south of Manuel Antonio. Lodge amenities include restaurant, bar, pool and water slide. While at Rafiki Safari Lodge you will enjoy a Luxury Safari Tent Room. Luxury Safari Tents feature hardwood decks with large windows for natural ventilation from the forest while the canvas walls keep the elements out, and a private porch with rocking chairs. Showers are fire heated to take the chill out of the spring water. |
Day 5![]() Whitewater Rafting Rio Savegre. Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world. The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Savegre. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard, yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this full day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch and equipment. |
Day 6![]() Transportation will be provided to Baru which is home to lush rainforests and cloud forests. During your visit to Baru, you will stay at Tree of Life. The Casa de Piedra is a cave located in the middle of primary rain and cloud forest in the southern zone near Dominical. This jungle hideaway has a fully functioning kitchen and bathrooms and mats with blankets to sleep on. There are two waterfalls that constantly pour in front of the cave and unimaginable views in a spectacular setting. The only way to access the cave is to hike a steep mountain on a rugged path. This is truly for the adventurous, but well worth it for the reward. This is where it gets exiting. You will actually spend the night in the cave. The family that runs this unique tour has equipped the cave with a modern conveniences such as beds, fully functioning kitchen, modern toilets and showers. Adter settling into camp you will have the opportunity to rappel down the waterfalls several times, utilizing the latest safety equipment and techniques that your guides will instruct you on. While at Tree of Life you will enjoy a Diamante Rappelling Overnight in Casa de Piedra - 2D - 1N Room. RATED BASED IN TWO DAYS AND ONE NIGHT. Departs at 8am. Returns 3pm following day. Day 7![]() After breakfast we will hike up and into cloud forest. On the top of the mountain there is a waterfall with a pool below it, which you can jump into. The drop is approximately 7 meters. Following the jumping and swimming we will descend back down to the Casa de Piedra to pack and continue the decent down to the base of the mountain. |
Day 7![]() Transportation will be provided to the Manuel Antonio area which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Manuel Antonio, you will stay at Buena Vista Luxury Villas. Buena Vista Luxury Villas is a charming Manuel Antonio villa hotel located along the hillside resort area. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, internet, tropical gardens, and access to private beach. While at Buena Vista Luxury Villas you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Day 9![]() Beach day at Manuel Antonio. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 10![]() Scuba Diving Isla del Cano. A full day two tank scuba dive off of Isla del Cano. Isla del Cano is located 2 hours south of Manuel Antonio in front of Drake Bay. This area is home to abundant marine life such as schools of Snapper, Jacks, Barracuda, White Tip Reef Sharks, Rays and sea turtles. You will also see volcanic rock formations, with many varieties of hard and soft corals. Visibility often exceeds 80 feet. Divers must be certified. This 8 hour tour includes transportation, guide, equipment, national park entrance fee, light breakfast, lunch, juices, water. |
Day 11![]() Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura. Hotel Ramada Herradura is a comfortable, newly remodeled airport hotel and resort. The hotel is well known for great customer service and tropical setting. Hotel amenities include large free form swimming pools with islands, jacuzzis, theme restaurants, spa, beauty center, bar, casino, and tropical gardens. Day 12![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
