Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to San Gerardo de Dota which is a birdwatchers paradise located in the central cloud forests. During your visit to San Gerardo de Dota, you will stay at Savegre Mountain Hotel. Savegre Mountain Hotel Natural Reserve and Spa is a comfortable eco-lodge and bird watchers paradise located in the cloud forest area of San Gerardo de Dota. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, nature trails, conference room, and internet. While at Savegre Mountain Hotel you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature comfortable accommodations with an electrical heating system. |
Day 2![]() Birdwatching tour for full day. This tour is great for any birdwatcher and particularly those seeking Resplendent Quetzals as this is one of the few areas in the world that has the right features to harbor Quetzals year round. With a little luck and cooperation from Mother Nature, we should be able to spot many species of birds. The tour lasts 8 hours and includes guide. No transportation is needed from Savegre Mountain Hotel. Transportation is not included from other area hotels. |
Day 3![]() Transportation will be provided to Drake Bay which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Drake Bay, you will stay at Casa Corcovado. Casa Corcovado is a beautiful Eco lodge specializing in personalized service located at Drake Bay. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, swimming pool, meeting and lounge area, gift shop, sunset look out point, and beach area. While at Casa Corcovado you will enjoy a Deluxe Bungalow - The Classic Experience - 4D-3N Room. Day 4![]() The Cano Island and Snorkeling adventure is a wonderful way to observe and enjoy a tropical island, marine life and artifacts in one amazing day! Cano Island is located 15 kilometers off the south Pacific coast and was utilized by Pre-Columbian indigenous people as a sacred burial area so many artifacts remain. The day starts off with a boat ride out to Cano Island. Upon arrival we will snorkel for an hour and then enjoy a pack lunch. After eating, you have your choice of exploring the island or beach time on the white sands. This full day tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and lunch. |
Day 5![]() Corcovado National Park Tour via the San Pedrillo Station. The day starts off with a boat ride down the coast to the San Pedrillo Station. Then a bilingual naturalist guide will lead you on a voyage to Corcovado National Park. This park is home to about 6,000 species of insects, 500 tree species, 367 bird species, 140 mammal species, 117 amphibian and reptile species, 40 fresh water fish species and abundant flora and fauna. Your guide will point out and describe the various species. In the afternoon with a little luck you will have the opportunity to see dolphins, sea turtles and whales upon you return by boat. This 6 hour tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and lunch. |
Day 6![]() Transportation will be provided to Uvita which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Uvita, you will stay at La Cusinga Eco Lodge. La Cusinga Eco Lodge is an eco-lodge and wildlife refuge located just south of Uvita. The refuge protects some 250 hectares of land which is covered with primary rainforest, teaming with wildlife, and fronts an amazingly beautiful beach along the south Pacific coast. Hotel amenities include restaurant, nature trails, yoga platform, spa, and internet. While at La Cusinga Eco Lodge you will enjoy a Ocean View Superior Double Room. Ocean View Superior Double Rooms feature natural ventilation, with a panoramic view of the ocean. |
Day 7![]() The Dolphin, Whale Watching and Snorkeling Tour at Marino Ballena National Park is an amazing experience! We start the boat ride at Pinuelas Beach and head north by the coastal caves at Ventanas. We then head out for deeper waters in search of dolphins and whales. To top it all off, we will also stop and snorkel above coral and rock reefs in search of tropical fish and marine life. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and snacks. |
Day 8![]() Beach day at Playa Uvita. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 9![]() Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura. Hotel Ramada Herradura is a comfortable, newly remodeled airport hotel and resort. The hotel is well known for great customer service and tropical setting. Hotel amenities include large free form swimming pools with islands, jacuzzis, theme restaurants, spa, beauty center, bar, casino, and tropical gardens. Day 10![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
