South Pacific Adventure
Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Savegre River basin. During your visit to the Savegre River basin, you will stay at Rafiki Safari Lodge. Rafiki Safari Lodge is an amazing jungle tent camp located on 842 acres of pristine rainforest along the Savegre River, south of Manuel Antonio. Lodge amenities include restaurant, bar, pool and water slide. While at Rafiki Safari Lodge you will enjoy a Luxury Safari Tent Room. Luxury Safari Tents feature hardwood decks with large windows for natural ventilation from the forest while the canvas walls keep the elements out, and a private porch with rocking chairs. Day 2 Saddle up for a horseback ride like a true Costa Rican! Though slowly fading, nearly all Costa Ricans from rural areas first learned how to drive on horseback. This adventure will help keep the traditional spirit alive as you ride through the beautiful Savegre Valley. This fun filled half day expedition includes guide. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 3 Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II, III and IV rapids on the Rio Savegre. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard, yes the pun was intended. This fun filled half day adventure includes guides and equipment. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to Dominical which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded surf beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the surrounding mountains. During your visit to Dominical, you will stay at Hotel Villas Rio Mar. Hotel Villas Rio Mar is a 3 star bungalow style resort located in the jungles of Dominical. Some of Costa Rica's most beautiful deserted beaches are located within minutes of this property. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, spa, tennis courts, and internet. While at Hotel Villas Rio Mar you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Room Bungalows feature refrigerator, ceiling fans, telephone, and a terrace-like living room with hammock. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 5 The Coastal Kayaking and Snorkel Adventure is a great way to observe tropical islands, marine life and the beautiful Pacific coastline! After paddling along and taking in the scenery we will stop to snorkel above rock or coral formations and observe the wondrous marine life below. Species that are frequently spotted on this trip include whales, dolphins, sea turtles and various tropical fish species making this a highlight for many! Day 6 Beach day at Playa Dominical. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 7 Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura. Hotel Ramada Herradura is a comfortable, newly remodeled airport hotel and resort. The hotel is well known for great customer service and tropical setting. Hotel amenities include large free form swimming pools with islands, jacuzzis, theme restaurants, spa, beauty center, bar, casino, and tropical gardens.
