Day 1![]() Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Turrialba Volcano area which is one of Costa Rica?s active volcanoes and an adventure capital. During your visit to Turrialba, you will stay at Hotel Villa Florencia. Hotel Villa Florencia is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near Turrialba Volcano. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, conference room, and internet. While at Hotel Villa Florencia you will enjoy a Standard Room. Day 2![]() Archaeological Hike at the Guayabo National Monument. Ancient stone carvings, skillfully engineered Pre-Columbian aqueducts with flowing water, and roads going into the rainforest hints to Costa Rica s mysterious past civilizations. Guayabo National Monument is the most important archaeological site in the country. Shadowed by Turrialba Volcano, this mysterious ancient city of over 10,000 people disappeared prior to the arrival of the Spanish in the 16th century. A guide will explain the history of the early inhabitants and these ancient excavations that hold a world of mysteries and unanswered questions. This tour includes a bilingual guide, gear, and round-trip transportation. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 3![]() Turrialba Volcano hiking adventure. This is a guided hike that will take us from the upper rings of the rain forest to cloud forest over 10,000 feet in elevation. Turrialba is one of 5 active volcanoes in Costa Rica and we will be able to observe the crater at the peak of the hike. This tour is available for people in good physical condition and includes transportation, lunch and tour guide. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 4![]() Transportation will be provided to Puerto Viejo which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica. During your visit to Puerto Viejo, you will stay at La Costa de Papito. La Costa de Papito is a Caribbean bungalow style hotel located in front of Playa Cocles in Puerto Viejo. Hotel amenities include restaurant, laundry service, spa, and internet access. While at La Costa de Papito you will enjoy a Bungalow A Room. Bungalows feature private bathroom, ceiling fan and natural ventilation, hammock, mosquito nets, and safety deposit box. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 5![]() Bri Bri Village. This is an indigenous village with roots to the original people of Costa Rica. Though time has changed some things, the people of this village still use many of the old customs and techniques of living in harmony with nature. These ways include the making of chocolate, and use of medicinal plants. On the way out, we will stop by a waterfall for great photo ops. This 6 hour tour includes transportation, guide, lunch, and bottle of water. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 6![]() Beach day at Puerto Viejo. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Caribbean coast. | ||||||||||||||||||
Day 7![]() Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! | ||||||||||||||||||
