Coast to Coast Adventure
Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to Puerto Viejo which is home to some of the most beautiful white sand, palm studded beaches in Costa Rica. During your visit to Puerto Viejo, you will stay at La Costa de Papito. La Costa de Papito is a Caribbean bungalow style hotel located in front of Playa Cocles in Puerto Viejo. Hotel amenities include restaurant, laundry service, spa, and internet access. While at La Costa de Papito you will enjoy a Bungalow A Room. Bungalows feature private bathroom, ceiling fan and natural ventilation, hammock, mosquito nets, and safety deposit box. |
Day 2 Beach day at Puerto Viejo. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Caribbean coast. |
Day 3 Cahuita National Park and Snorkeling combo is an great way to enjoy both wildlife in the jungle and marine life in ocean. In the morning a bilingual guide will lead you through the rain forest where you will see many species of wildlife, flora and fauna, such as monkeys, sloths, iguanas, Morphos butterflies, birds, snakes and much. The afternoon continues with an awesome snorkeling adventure. Swim above rock and coral formations along the Cahuita coastline and observe the wondrous marine life below. This fun filled half day adventure which includes transportation, bilingual certified guide, equipment and lunch. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to the Turrialba Volcano area which is one of Costa Rica?s active volcanoes and an adventure capital. During your visit to Turrialba, you will stay at Hotel Villa Florencia. Hotel Villa Florencia is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near Turrialba Volcano. Hotel amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, conference room, and internet. While at Hotel Villa Florencia you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature hair dryer, iron and ironing board, TV, and either a view of the gardens or access to them. |
Day 5 Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class III and IV rapids on the Rio Pacuare. This is a great river for experienced rafters or those in good physical condition. This fun filled full day adventure includes transportation, guides, safety kayaker, lunch and equipment. |
Day 6 Transportation will be provided to Uvita which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica and an abundance of wildlife in the national park. During your visit to Uvita, you will stay at La Cusinga Eco Lodge. La Cusinga Eco Lodge is an eco-lodge and wildlife refuge located just south of Uvita. The refuge protects some 250 hectares of land which is covered with primary rainforest, teaming with wildlife, and fronts an amazingly beautiful beach along the south Pacific coast. Hotel amenities include restaurant, nature trails, yoga platform, spa, and internet. While at La Cusinga Eco Lodge you will enjoy a Ocean View Superior Double Room. Ocean View Superior Double Rooms feature natural ventilation, with a panoramic view of the ocean. |
Day 7 Kayaking, Waves and Caves at Marino Ballena Park. The tour starts out at Playa Ventanas and we will kayak out along the beautiful coastline. There are over 30 sea caves in this area which can be observed from the kayak. If the tides are right we will be able to enter 2 of them on foot. This 5 hour tour includes transportation, guide, park entrance, and snacks. |
Day 8 Beach day at Playa Uvita. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 9 Transportation will be provided to San Jose which is the capital city. During your visit to San Jose, you will stay at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura. Hotel Ramada Herradura is a comfortable, newly remodeled airport hotel and resort. The hotel is well known for great customer service and tropical setting. Hotel amenities include large free form swimming pools with islands, jacuzzis, theme restaurants, spa, beauty center, bar, casino, and tropical gardens. While at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura you will enjoy a Superior Room. Superior Rooms feature air conditioning, satellite TV, direct-dial telephone, internet access. |
Day 10 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
