Day 1 Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Liberia International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital. During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room. While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Day 2 The Rio Celeste Waterfall is one of the most beautiful in the world! The day starts with a moderate hike through Tenorio National Park on semi groomed trails. When you hear the roar of the falls, look down into the valley and you will see the magnificent turquoise blue colored Rio Celeste waterfalls and river. The hike down is difficult, but well worth it! Following the falls, you will have the opportunity to visit the lagoon and if there is time, the natural hot springs. This fun filled full day adventure includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, park entrance fee, and lunch. |
Day 3 Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch, and equipment. |
Day 4 There is no better way to travel to your next destination than our famous Land-Boat-Land transportation to Monteverde! The adventure begins as you board a boat and cross the lake which provides some of the best photo ops of the imposing volcano. When you reach the other side, transportation will be provided through scenic mountain roads as you wind your way up to the cloud forest until you reach Monteverde. |
Day 4 Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide. During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Poco a Poco. Hotel Poco a Poco is a comfortable boutique style hotel located near the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, heated swimming pool, spa, gym, and internet. While at Hotel Poco a Poco you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature comfortable orthopedic beds, hair dryer, telephone, coffee maker, cable TV with DVD, and in-room safe. |
Day 5 The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica. This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 16 zips up to 600 meters and 80 meters high as you soar through the air from platform to platform via wheel and harness for a birds eye view of the rainforest. To top it all off, you can also do a rappel and Tarzan swing. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guides. |
Day 6 Transportation will be provided to Mal Pais which is home to some of the most beautiful palm studded beaches in Costa Rica which are excellent for surfing. During your visit to Mal Pais, you will stay at Pranamar Oceanfront Villas and Yoga Retreat. Pranamar Oceanfront Villas and Yoga Retreat is an amazing villa style hotel located on the beach of Santa Teresa. The elegantly designed villas were built with Costa Rican hardwoods, bamboo and plenty of windows and doors, inviting guests to enjoy nature and ocean views in an intimate setting. Hotel amenities include restaurant, swimming pool, yoga studio, massage center and gift shop. While at Pranamar Oceanfront Villas and Yoga Retreat you will enjoy a Garden Bungalow Room. Day 7 The Tortuga Island Boat Ride and Snorkeling adventure is an amazing experience! The tour starts with a scenic cruise along the Gulf of Nicoya for a 50 minute voyage to Tortuga Island. Dolphins, manta rays or humpback whales are just a few examples of the marine life frequently viewed along the way to the island. Upon arriving to the tropical paradise of Tortuga Island you will anchor for your first snorkeling session. This area is surrounded by volcanic rocks, crystal waters and vibrant tropical coral reefs which is home some of the best snorkeling on Costa Rica’s Central Pacific coast. After snorkeling, you will continue to the white sand beach of Tortuga Island. Kayak rentals and additional snorkeling available. This fun filled full day excursion includes transportation, guide, snorkeling equipment, drinks, and meal. |
Day 8 Beach day at Mal Pais. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast. |
Day 9 Transportation will be provided to Liberia. During your visit to Liberia, you will stay at Hilton Garden Inn. Hilton Garden Inn is an airport hotel located across the street from Liberia International Airport. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar, pool, jacuzzi, meeting rooms, business center, fitness room, and airport shuttle service. While at Hilton Garden Inn you will enjoy a Standard Room. Standard Rooms feature refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, telephone, desk, wired, and wireless internet. |
Day 10 Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to Liberia International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight. ¡Pura Vida! |
