Day 1

Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to Liberia International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital.

During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room.

While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano.

Day 2

The Arenal Volcano Natural History and Nature tour is a great way to learn about the volcano and observe wildlife. The tour starts in the afternoon at a groomed trail, where you will go on an easy hike through the rainforest at the base of the volcano. With a little luck, your bilingual naturalist guide will point out various species of wildlife such as monkeys, toucans, parrots and others. The trail ends at a mirador with excellent views to the volcano. This fun filled evening excursion includes guide, transportation, and entrance to the private reserve.

Following the hike you will be brought back to Arenal Springs Resort where you will enjoy unlimited use of the thermal hot springs which are surrounded by tropical gardens.

Day 3

Today you will have your choice of one of the following tour options:

A) The Cano Negro Riverboat Safari is an amazing experience and opportunity to see numerous species of wildlife. The refuge is home to one of the largest populations of caimans, which can be observed at nearly every turn! It’s not only reptiles though as the area is also home to both spider monkeys and congo monkeys which can be heard howling from miles away. Birdwatchers will delight as hundreds of species either live here or migrate through including toucans, roseate spoonbills and trogons. This fun filled safari includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, and lunch.

B) Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch, and equipment.

Day 4

Transportation will be provided to the Papagayo-Hermosa area which is home to beautiful palm studded beaches.

During your visit to the Papagayo-Hermosa area, you will stay at Villas Sol Resort. Villas Sol Resort is an all-inclusive resort located along the hillside in front of Playa Hermosa beach. Resort amenities include swimming pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, bar, spa, gym, beach club, business center and internet.

While at Villas Sol Resort you will enjoy a Standard Hotel Room. Standard Rooms feature air conditioning, cable TV, telephone, alarm clock radio, coffee maker, safe deposit box, minibar, balcony and wireless connection.

Day 5

The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 3 hanging bridges and 11 zips up to 400 meters as you soar through the air from platform to platform via wheel and harness for a bird’s eye view of the rainforest. This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guide.

Day 6

Beach day at Playa Hermosa. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tropical sun on the palm studded beaches of the Pacific coast.

Day 7

Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to Liberia International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight.
