Day 1

Welcome to Costa Rica! Upon arrival to San Jose International Airport (contact us for details if arriving at other airport), you will receive a VIP Airport Greeting by a Pacific Trade Winds representative. Transportation will be provided to Monteverde which is located in the cloud forests of the continental divide.

During your visit to Monteverde, you will stay at Hotel Ficus. Ficus Hotel is an eco-friendly hotel located near Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. The hotel is known for great service and is conveniently close to the Santa Elena village center. Hotel amenities include restaurant, bar and internet.

While at Hotel Ficus you will enjoy a Deluxe Room. Deluxe Rooms feature cable TV, in-room safe, telephone, bathtub, minibar, coffee maker, and a balcony.

Day 2

The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is one of the most unique climates in the world. Birdwatchers will delight in the marvels of the cloud forest, which is located along the Continental Divide! Common sightings include the Resplendent Quetzal, Emerald Toucanette and Bell Bird. It’s not all about the birds though as sloths, wild jungle cats and the occasional monkey roam these forests as well. Speaking of the forest, this habitat is brimming with life on top of life as epiphytes and orchids cover the trees. This fun filled half day safari includes transportation, park entrance, and guide.

Day 3

Hanging Bridges offer an amazing glimpse into the canopy of the cloud forest. The hike includes both terrestrial trails and hanging bridges through the tree tops, allowing you to view the forest from all perspectives. This fun filled half day tour includes guides, transportation, and entrance to the private reserve.

Day 4

Transportation will be provided to the Arenal Volcano area which is not only one of the most beautiful destinations in Central America, but also the Adventure Capital.

During your visit to the Arenal Volcano area, you will stay at Arenal Springs Resort. Arenal Springs Resort is an eco-resort with thermal hot springs surrounded by tropical gardens located in the shadow of the imposing Arenal Volcano in the resort area outside of La Fortuna. Hotel amenities include thermal hot springs, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, internet access, spa, yoga platform and conference room.

While at Arenal Springs Resort and Spa you will enjoy a Junior Suite. Junior Suites feature air-conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, mini bar stocked with complimentary beverages for two people, telephone, in-room safe, hair dryer, and a terrace area with a view of Arenal Volcano.

Day 5

Whitewater rafting is a thrilling adventure and Costa Rica is home to some of the best rivers and guides in the world! The day starts off with a brief safety lesson and you are then on your way as your guide navigates you through class II and III rapids on the Rio Balsa. This is a great river for first timers and those that want the thrills of rafting without going overboard - yes the pun was intended. No experience necessary on this half day adventure which includes transportation, safety kayaker, guides, lunch, and equipment.

Day 6

The Canopy Zipline is a MUST DO for anybody adventurous that visits Costa Rica! This thrilling high speed, high flying course offers 8 zips as you soar between 14 platforms at the base of Arenal Volcano and then top it off with a Tarzan Swing! This fun filled half day adventure includes transportation and guide.

Day 7

Final Day — All good things must come to an end, though memories last a lifetime. Transportation will be provided back to San Jose International Airport scheduled to arrive three hours prior to your departure flight.
