Costa Rica Packing List

If you are looking for a one page Costa Rica packing list for your vacation, you probably are not going to find one. What you pack highly depends on what regions you are visiting, the time of year and what activities you are partaking in. To ensure a smooth vacation we always provide a packing list for each tour on an individual basis. If you have already reserved your vacation, check your vouchers for this information when they arrive. The following are general packing lists based on the region you are visiting.
Northern Zone: Visitors should pack shorts, tee shirts, appropriate shoes, rain gear, sunblock. It is also advised to bring at least one pair of pants and a long sleeve shirt. If you are visiting Monteverde you should also bring a sweatshirt or light jacket.
Northwest Pacific: Visitors should pack a bathing suit, towel, shorts, tee shirts, appropriate shoes, rain gear, sunblock, and insect repellent.
Central Pacific: Visitors should pack a bathing suit, towel, shorts, tee shirts, appropriate shoes, rain gear, sunblock, and insect repellent.
South Pacific: Visitors should pack a bathing suit, towel, shorts, tee shirts, appropriate shoes, rain gear, sunblock, and insect repellent.
Caribbean: Visitors should pack a bathing suit, towel, shorts, tee shirts, appropriate shoes, rain gear, sunblock, and insect repellent.
Central Region: Visitors should pack shorts, tee shirts, appropriate shoes, rain gear, and sunblock. It is also advised to bring at least one pair of pants and a long sleeve shirt. If you are visiting any of the highland areas you should also bring a sweatshirt or light jacket.
It is recommended to bring a camera, extra film or memory card, and batteries to all destinations. Other considerations include medication, extra compact duffle bag for souvenirs, hat to block sun or rain, toiletries and cosmetic items.
