La Palma del Arenal, formerly known as the Carlos Lodge, is a budget friendly bungalow style hotel located outside of the La Fortuna area. The lodge is positioned in front of the massive Arenal Volcano, surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Hotel amenities include internet wireless, private parking lot, laundry service, international and local phone calls.
While La Palma del Arenal is located in a quiet area, it is within a ten minutes drive of the restaurants and shops in nearby La Fortuna. Several public hot springs resorts are also nearby and of course, there are more activities to choose from in this area than any other in Costa Rica.

La Palma del Arenal often slips between the cracks when travelers are choosing their Arenal Volcano hotel. It's not as well known and much smaller than many other hotels in the area.
