Hilda was a terrific hostess and her staff was warm and friendly. The Conchal is a cute hotel that is very clean and well-maintained, and we felt comfortable hanging out by the pool and restaurant. The complimentary breakfast was very good and we appreciated being able to help ourselves to coffee throughout the day. The bed was too firm for us, but that was the case at all of the hotels during our trip; it appears that they have all abandoned innerspring mattresses in favor of foam beds. Dinners in the restaurant were good, but not great, and were not a great value for the price. Our room had a finished concrete floor (versus wood or tile). The floor was clean, but it makes the room feel like a cell. The room refrigerator was off and I don't know if it was operational. The hotel is not convenient to the beach or most of the other restaurants in Brasalito.

On a trip that was already amazing the staff at this hotel topped them all - friendliest and most helpful, encouraging of our speaking Spanish and helping us with pronunciation! Waiters and kitchen staff especially were the best ever! Would stay here forever if we could! Dinner meals were out of this world good - so much so that I spoke to the chef personally - which I have never done before in my life...yes it was that good - I am not a fan of beef overall, but ordered filet mignon because they did not have the fish I wanted the first night...and then ordered it again the third night because it was so good!
