Gorgeous resort and surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The added bonus of the upgrade to a suite for our honeymoon made this extra special. Can’t wait to go back.

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty. The room was gorgeous, and the views were spectacular. The hotel’s restaurant was quite delectable, and the private beach was exactly how I envisioned Costa Rica’s beaches in my mind. I look forward to the thought of returning one day!

The room was air conditioned, but a lot of the resort was not. It was beautiful. The atmosphere was great, and the staff was amazing.

Hotel was very nice but the room was quite small when you compare it to others for what you pay. Nonetheless it as quite beautiful and the staff extremely friendly.

Hard to compare after staying at Nayara so may be a little biased. Room was a little small with nowhere to sit except outside on balcony. The staff was extremely friendly and service was great. Again, compared to Nayara, the choices for eating were limited but food at Playitas was very good. Walk from property to Manuel Antonio along the beach was nice.

Beautiful hotel. Loved the grounds and thank goodness for the golf carts. I have food allergies and they remembered my issues which was so appreciated. Kind staff and excellent stay.

We loved our suite and thought this was the most beautifully situated property. The hotel has a great staff and the bar and restaurants are good. They have happy hour and special movie nights for the kids which was fun.

From the time we arrived with the golf cart all decked out with balloons and sign for our fifty anniversary to the fabulous private dinner on the beach and the beautiful flower arrangement it was a trip we will never forget.

The Good: Wonderful private beach and beach staff. Great Bell staff and always on time, every time. Everyone got us where we wanted to go, when we wanted to go. Absolutely loved the location and grounds.
The Not So Good: (And VERY frustrating). We paid for the Ocean Breeze with outdoor jaccuzzi overlooking the beach. It worked exactly 1 night of our 5 night stay. The other 4 nights the pump would attempt to begin but would not find power to cause flow. We called, they would send someone later, and it still would not work when we tried to use it later in the evening. We were able to use it for about an hour on our last night at the resort. I really think there should be some type of restitution on this matter since it was a highlight of booking that particular class of suite.
Finally, I suppose ice is a prized commodity there. We had to CONSTANTLY request ice and they would bring a small amount in a small unninsulated bucket and ice would be gone in minutes. Call again, ask for larger bucket and get one but it would be 1/2 full at best. I really got tired of tipping for an ice delivery every 25 minutes.

Must try to do something about lizards in the room. I know the place is surrounded woods and they are very cautious about environment but the lizards in the room is just not good thing.

The staff was impeccable. Always asking if we needed anything. They arranged transportation every night when we went to dinner. Very eager to make sure we had a good time. Excellent choice. Also right on the beach.
