this hotel was not easily accessible to the beach or town and almost impossible to walk . but turned out to be just perfect to stay away from the hordes of tourist in manual antonio. very loud neighbors that was not addressed by hotel.

Great room and view. The location seemed a bit strange at first, up a dirt road near some other residence, but we got used to it. It was actually nice to be away from the main road. The bus stop was close and easy to take down to the beach. We liked it more the longer we stayed.

Hotel California was ideally located up on a hill where it was noticeably cooler than by the beach. We lover our spacious room and were completely blown away by the view. Great staff and friendly owner. When the next transfer bus couldn't make it up the steep and narrow road to our hotel to pick us up, a hotel employee carried our luggage down to the main road for us!!! The breakfast was delicious and the hotel service was impeccable.

We had a great time here, it could have been a little cleaner. Lots of little ants in the rooms,and the floors never really seemed clean. Never really got hot water in the shower. The pool could have been cleaned every day, not a big deal but everyone loves a really clean pool. Not enough lounge chairs, and the cushions need to be replaced. Breakfast was delicious, and fast. Not enough pool towels. Otherwise we had great time and would likely return.

Only difficulty was the pick from Hotel California because the bus could not come up the narrow lane to the Hotel. We had to drag our suitcases down the dirt lane to the main road. Breakfast on the weekend days was very good but quality decreased on week days
