This unique boutique style hotel, a member of the Cayuga Collection, is the most luxurious accommodation in the region and is for adults only (no children under 12 years old). The Victorian style buildings are tastefully decorated with colorful artwork and thoughtful furnishings. Hotel amenities include a laid-back restaurant and bar, swimming pool and lounge area, a wellness center for practicing yoga or meditation, spa services, access to the beach, and free WiFi in many areas of the hotel.
Located at the north end of beautiful Playa Chiquita, guests are only steps away from one of Costa Rica's most beautiful and pristine beaches. The beach in front of the hotel is a little rocky but a short walk down the beach will lead to better swimming areas. The picture-perfect beach is backed by jungle and palm trees, making it the ideal place for a leisurely stroll.
The village of Puerto Viejo is only a few minutes drive north along the coast. Visitors will find a colorful Caribbean town with outdoor markets, souvenir shops, restaurants, and nightlife. This area attracts surfers and laid-back beachgoers from all over the world. Surfers come for the famous Salsa Brava surf break at the southern end of town. Sun worshippers can choose from beaches that are ideal for swimming and snorkeling or choose bigger wave beaches that are ideal for boogie boarding or surfing. The area, in general, is fairly wet, which creates amazing rainforests and attracts many species of exotic wildlife. The driest months of the year are usually March, April, September, and October.
Spa services are available at the Aguas Claras Hotel. Services include various: massages, body wraps or scrubs, body treatments, and aromatherapy treatments. The quiet setting and ambiance make for an unforgettable, relaxing experience! Guests also have access to the hotel's Casa Gandhi Wellness Center. This is an ideal place to practice yoga, meditation, or even martial arts. Yoga lessons are available daily but must be reserved through the hotel.
Located next to the swimming pool and lounge area, the Papaya Restaurant embraces the concept of barefoot luxury. Serving a fusion of local and international cuisine, the menu is delightful and food is delicious! The mixologist at the bar is always happy to prepare tropical-themed cocktails or pour a chilled cerveza.
The suites and bungalows at the Hotel Aguas Claras are all thoughtfully and tastefully furnished and decorated. Located near the restaurant and pool area, the individually decorated Pavlova Suites are all in a Victorian Row House. Six of these rooms offer a king size bed, while one offers two double beds. All of the colorful rooms also offer a sofa and small living room table, mini bar, desk, an outdoor open shower inside of a private lounge area, along with a semi-open terrace.
Set within tropical gardens and jungle, the hotel's Caribbean-Victorian style bungalows are all modernized, with re-used or recycled objects and furniture. These thoughtfully decorated casitas are designed to offer everything you need for a revitalizing and refreshing stay. Each offers air-conditioned bedrooms, semi-open shower, fans, mini bar, potable water, and solar-powered batteries. The Cacao suite is considered the one room, love suite. It offers one bedroom and a terrace, 2 private terraces, and the closest access to the beach. The Casa Frutepan is the most secluded bungalow, offering one bedroom and a small kitchenette, as well as a patio near the Casa Gandhi Wellness Center. Casa Biriba is also one bedroom and offers a kitchenette and porch. Casa Magnolia offers two bedrooms, an open living room, two private bathrooms, a dining room, kitchenette, and a private patio with table and chairs. Casa Coral is a two bedroom bungalow with two private bathrooms, a dining room and kitchenette, and a private patio. Casa Floralia is the largest accommodation with five bedrooms divided between two floors in a traditional Caribbean house. The Corredor Floralia is the ground floor, where three of the bedrooms are located. The Floralia Studio is upstairs, where two of the bedrooms are located. Each of the bedrooms has a private bathroom. The house also has a full kitchen and living room in the Floralia Studio, making it ideal for larger groups. Note that the Floralia Studio section can also be rented as a two bedroom bungalow.

This hotel went beyond our expectations. The location was great, the staff was great, and the food was AMAZING.
