Overview

Personalized service and authenticity are what sets Casitas de Punta Uva apart from other lodges and hotels on the Southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. The owners of the property have worked hard to ensure the rustic vacation rental houses maintain the true Caribbean vibe. They are constructed with traditional methods and materials, making them as authentic as you will find. Lodge amenities include fully equipped kitchens, spacious lounging area, and open air cabins in a unique jungle setting.

Punta Uva has an incredibly beautiful beach area, only five minutes from the Casitas. Waves are small in most parts, so swimming is great. The town is spread out, but there are a few small shops and restaurants. Many more options can be found a few miles up the coast in Puerto Viejo.

The Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge is just a few miles down the coast. You can go there to hike in the pristine rainforest or swim on one of the prettiest beaches in Costa Rica. Cahuita National Park is similar but a little further away, approximately 20 minutes north. Both locations are loaded with wildlife including sloths, monkeys, toucans, and much more.

The Casitas are rustic and traditional for the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Casa Reina de la Noche sleeps up to eight and is the largest with three bedrooms, living room, dining room, equipped kitchen, and one bathroom. Both Casita Amapola and Casita Ginger sleeps up to six, offering two bedrooms, kitchen and dining rooms, equipped kitchen, and a large porch area.
